Hmmm.... I hate to be the bearer of bad news. I only see it being reported on an internet blog. No one else has touched it. I guess we will get more information tomorrow morning Fans speculate that this is Robson & Safechuck http://instagram.com/p/BsbfVDxlOpU Michael Jackson is being accused of sexually abusing two boys in a new documentary called, Leaving Neverland. Dan Reed directed and produced the project and says that the docu will tell the stories of two boys, aged 7 and 10, who began long-running relationships with the late singer, at the height of his stardom. Now in their 30s, they tell the story of how they were allegedly sexually abused by Jackson, and how they came to terms with it years later. See the description of Leaving Neverland below. “As one of the world’s most celebrated icons, Michael Jackson represents many things to many people—a pop star, a humanitarian, a beloved idol. When allegations of sexual abuse by Jackson involving young boys surfaced in 1993, many found it hard to believe that the King of Pop could be guilty of such unspeakable acts. In separate but parallel stories that echo one another, two boys were each befriended by Jackson, who invited them into his singular and wondrous world. Seduced by the singer’s fairy-tale existence and enthralled by their relationship with him, both boys’ families were blind to the manipulation and abuse that he would ultimately subject them to. Through gut-wrenching interviews with the now-adult men and their families, ‘Leaving Neverland’ crafts a portrait of sustained exploitation and deception, documenting the power of celebrity that allowed a revered figure to infiltrate the lives of starstruck children and their parents.” The docu will run at Sundance. thejasminebrand.com/2019/01/09/michael-jackson-accused-of-sexually-abusing-two-boys-in-leaving-neverland-documentary/

Oh no! Sigh...it's been pretty quiet for a while...the only positive thing is technically it's not new allegations, but rehashing old crap. Still, Sundance is supposed to be a very reputable film festival, so they really shouldn't be screening this crap. What do you think can be done to counter this? In the #MeToo era, there's such a "believe every allegation no matter what" mindset...

I’m also sure if Sundance blocked it then that wouldn’t look fair on their part

The Estate have already released a statement to this, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter: “This is yet another lurid production in an outrageous and pathetic attempt to exploit and cash in on Michael Jackson.
Wade Robson and James Safechuck have both testified under oath that Michael never did anything inappropriate toward them.
Safechuck and Robson, the latter a self-proclaimed ‘master of deception’, filed lawsuits against Michael’s Estate, asking for millions of dollars. Both lawsuits were dismissed.
This so called ‘documentary’ is just another rehash of dated and discredited allegations. It’s baffling why any credible filmmaker would involve himself with this project.”www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/sundance-adds-michael-jackson-molestation-documentary-lineup-1174967--- I first saw this via Facebook and I'm glad to see that most comments were in support of Michael.

The estate can't sue Robson and Safechuck, the law doesn't protect the deceased from defamation. I hope this documentary or whatever that crap is backfired at them like all their previous disgusting attempts to get money from Michael.

It's definitely Robson and Safechuck. We have all the material to refute them, I wish we could effectively put it out somehow.
The "documentary" will obviously be very biased and one-sided, you can tell that by the description and by who the maker is, knowing his biases.

Well, this was always coming wasn’t it?
As soon as Wade lost his lawsuit, it was only a of time before he was going to pursue other avenues to make money.

With the #MeTooand success of the Rkelly documentary people are looking for other ways to exploit the movement for their own good. I’ve geard lifetime is planning a similar documentary on the music industry.

Oh God. When will enough be enough? I couldn't believe it when I woke up to this. Well, actually, I COULD believe it. I've just been dreading the day. I'm also gutted that Sundance has picked it up, it's a popular and respected film festival. I was more hoping it'd be on some cheap, Entertainment crappy TV channel. This was always about money for Wade and Co, so they are just finding any avenue possible to get some...interviews, shows, articles. They'll do anything. The thing that sickens me is this being hot on the heels of the R Kelly documentary and thrown out there amongst the #MeToo victims....they will all pounce on this. Everyone SO DESPERATE to prove they are on a victims side they will cry out in support of anyone who says they are a victim - regardless the validity of the person's claims. As far as I'm concerned the law should be changed. As Snow White pointed out, the law means you can throw crap at anyone if they are dead. How is that fair?! It just encourages money scavenging and people who want 5 minutes of fame. The law should protect people fairly. The law SHOULD mean that because Wade's case was thrown out of a legal court for being a pile of SHIT, that he should be barred from publicly spouting the same lies for money. I just feel for MJs children and his mother. I feel for Michael...will he never be allowed to rest with peace and dignity? Must his name always be a target from cold, calculated people? Michael had the kindest heart. He was too pure for this world, and he mistakenly believed his time with children would be an extension of his view on magic, innocence and purity. How wrong he was. I'm sorry Michael.

Hopefully the estate can get this pulled before it gains any traction. I know that you can't legally defame a dead person, but surely there must be something they can do to put a stop to this?
In a weird way, this is why I kind of wished Wade had just been given a quiet out of court settlement from the estate, because then we wouldn't be having to deal with shit like this that could potentially have lasting damage to MJs name/reputation. Wade was left with a six figure legal bill to pay after his case was tossed out of court, and so it was inevitable that he would sell his story to the highest bidder to pay this off.

I mean, it worked in 1993, right? not a good idea to settle with people over something you (or your estate) didn't do.
