Would you honestly analyse a picture of this nature so harshly of anyone else other than Michael Jackson? It just seems to me that MJ is held to a different standard than many other people in the public eye.
He is. Take for example, Chris Rock who never hid his hate for MJ and who made a good living of MJ jokes and joking about the MJ allegations for a while.
Now, this same Chris Rock once told a story of how he once was asked to visit a dying kid in a hospital and he sneaked some porn magazines in for him "so that he has a good time before he dies". This was told by him as a funny story and his audience laughed and was entertained by it. I have never seen him ever being criticized for it or anyone saying this was inappropriate or anything like that. By Rock this was considered to be funny and probably "macho" or something. Imagine MJ ever doing such a thing!
Then this same Chris Rock turned around and made fun of MJ and the allegations - including the false accusation that he showed Gavin porn magazines.
Wow what an idiot. I remember him making mj jokes in the 90s

Should I remind you some of the sick, perverted stuff these haters post on Twitter, in open sight of children? Or their harassment of children, like the Kid of Pop? Or them sending hate messages to Taj about how they would rape his child? Or them daydreaming about raping MJ "as a punishment"? I could go on. Are these really the people whose opinions we should care about as morality police? I personally don't. They are also the same people who analyze MJ's lyrics and see evidence of pedophilia in songs like Man in the Mirror, Remember the Time and just anywhere. LOL.
Here we go again. Not everybody who believes MJ was guilty is a monster respect77. You seem to have this very black and white image of the world, good guys versus bad guys and you either fall in one camp or another. I've seen you on Twitter lambusting celebs/blue ticks who dared believe Leaving Neverland, but have you ever stopped to consider that maybe the person you should be mad at is Michael? He was the one who put himself in that position in the first place. I don't like it anymore than you do when people with a platform say they believe he was guilty, but unlike you, I don't demonise people who dislike my favourite popstar as I don't have the emotional IQ of a 12 year old. It's not a low blow at all. Had MJ posted such a post that you did about Aaron Carter on a public forum, salivating about details of someone's cock (or vagina, for that matter), people like you would whine about that too and accuse him of being inappropriate and haters whose opinions you apparently hold in such high regards would use it against him more than they can use this photo. Guaranteed. But because you are just RussG not MJ, you can freely post such a thread with no one making anything out of it. Lucky for you. If it was MJ it would somehow be evidence of having no boundaries and being inappropriate at best and evidence of his guilt by the haters that you love referring to as people whose opinions we should care about. This is not a low blow, but showing how MJ is held to different standards than everyone else. Including by people who don't hold themselves to similarly high standards. I don't hold hater views in high regard at all, but I acknowledge they exist and I understand why. MJ made it very easy for people to question his behaviour. Surely you can't be too far gone to deny that? The difference between me posting about Aaron Carter doing porn (and I wasn't "salivating") and MJ being inappropriate is night and day. I have (thankfully) never been accused of a crime, but unfortunately for MJ, he has. And he appeared to not learn anything from 1993. This is what I take issue with.

I take your point about the Aaron Carter thing, but I don't think there are any kids who post on this forum, so I feel that you bringing that up was a low blow. As always, you cannot take any criticism of Saint Michael Jackson. Just because he was innocent (which we all agree on), it doesn't mean he didn't do some stupid things in his lifetime. Just because he was falsely accused, it doesn't mean he wasn't in part responsible for some of the tragic things that happened to him. Pictures like this just feed into the hater narrative and it makes me pissed off at MJ for being so clueless or studid. It's bad enough that he kept hanging around kids after 93, but to allow a photographer to take a pic of you jokingly touching a provocative image of a woman whilst standing next to a young boy is just plain stupid for someone in MJ's position. He was either incredibly naive or incredibly arrogant to behave in this way. I am not saying he is doing anything wrong in this pic per se, and no, I don't believe the child would be "scarred for life" or whatever nonsense Matty spouted. But it seems I am the only one truly looking out for MJ here. Fans like you and Matty are really no better than the sycophants who surrounded him, the yes men who were too in awe of his fame/power/wealth/influence/status to ever call MJ out on his shit. This is foolish behaviour, no different than when he defended sharing his bed with kids on Bashir/Sawyer. Anybody who truly cared about MJ, in life or death, wouldn't defend his foolishness regarding these issues. You are not a better fan than me just because you defend every single thing he ever did. It undermines your arguments as you just come across as someone who can't see the wood for the trees. You are making a mountain out of a molehill Russ. Would you honestly analyse a picture of this nature so harshly of anyone else other than Michael Jackson? It just seems to me that MJ is held to a different standard than many other people in the public eye. The pop industry is full of scantily clad females, stripping off their clothes, girl groups marketing to tweens wearing next to nothing and teaching young girls highly-sexualised dance moves. You have celeb sex tapes, nudes, people like Justin Bieber skinny dipping completely full frontal whilst knowingly being photographed... the shit is endless. Sex is everywhere in pop culture and is - too often - thrust in front of young eyes. The image you are making such a fuss about doesn't even compare to some of that shit. I bet you wouldn't think twice about this picture if a) MJ hadn't cultivated such a clean-cut public image and b) he wasn't falsely accused of child molestation. Why should he be held to a higher standard than everyone else just because he was falsely accused? I already said that I don't think he is doing anything wrong in the picture, I just don't think it is entirely appropriate for a man in MJ's position in the company of a child and a photographer. But that's MJ for you...

Here we go again. Not everybody who believes MJ was guilty is a monster respect77. Now you are trying to deflect and talk about blue ticks believing LN but that's not the topic of this thread but people who read evidence of MJ's guilt into this particular photo. People who you too called haters. And whose opinion and interpretation of this picture we supposedly should stress about. As far as I am concerned it's not a mentally healthy thing to be someone's hater, so forgive me if I don't give a crap about what those people think about that photo or MJ in general and I am sorry if my way of thinking is not dictated by those people.
Your actual problem seems to be that it has been photographed which again points to that your problem is that haters saw it and "can use it" - which in turn means that your problem is that you care way too much about what haters do or say.
BTW, thanks for turning yet another fun thread into a shit show, you have a particular talent for that. Has anyone, by any chance looked at the other photos as well? Or are we going to go on and stress about a scene which in real life was probably not more than a second? SMH.

The photographer (not a fan) tells us to chill about this damn photo? Can we? The most frustrating thing is, from what I can tell it is fans who are making a big deal out of this more than haters. They are doing nothing more than providing more ammunition to those people. With fans like that, who needs haters? I just don't think it is entirely appropriate for a man in MJ's position in the company of a child and a photographer. But that's MJ for you... As is always the case with MJ, he is acting like a man with a clear conscience who has nothing to hide. The very fact that he did this in front of a photographer just goes to prove that it was nothing more than a silly moment and people (mostly fans) are reading way too much into it.

Yes, it's the fans who are making a fuss about this photo who make us look foolish in the eyes of the general public, like this photographer.

He said that Michael jokingly covered the poster with his hand. Unfortunately, the image can be used against Michael. I wish that the photographer didn’t post it. It would’ve been a non-factor if Michael was photographed by himself.

I feel bad I even thought he was just being a man when he was probably like it’s not for the kids to see and kind of silly
