Both directed Spike Lee. I think these are both amongst his greatest music videos ever made. But which one is your favourite and why?

Prison, but I agree, they're both great.

I used to prefer the prison version, but now I actually like the Brazil version more. Both have very different tones and Michael appeared to have a great connection with the individuals in the Brazil video. There is a "togetherness" feel during a song that calls for social change. I love that.

Prison version conveyed better the lyrics message, IMO but I LOVE Michael's interaction with Olodum at the end.

I prefer the prison version. So fitting to the song and I think more intense. I also prefer the darker mood of it.

I love that. That was a really interesting take. I agree, there is a real sense of unity in the Brazil video, which considering the relative poverty exposed in the video, speaks to the songs lyrical content just as much as the prison version. Infact, didn't the Brazilian government try to ban the video? I seem to recall something about them not liking the portrayal of Brazil in the video.

Wow, what a wonderful legacy to have left behind. Imagine being able to change the world inadvertently just by your sheer presence. Incredible.

Always loved both, but Brazil a bit more, so much festivity and you see the love for Michael and you have to love the drummers.

Prison version conveyed better the lyrics message, IMO but I LOVE Michael's interaction with Olodum at the end. I feel exactly the same way.

Never understood the fan's obsession with the Prison version, the Brazil version is perfect (aside from some bad sound editing). I also think it's a very unique MJ film.

Well imagine a 7 year old child watching the same old DVD every summer with video clips from 50 cent, Pussy Cat Dolls, Britney Spears AND one MJ video. You don't know how refreshing and amazing TDCAU prison version was for me as a child. It was the first ever MJ video I watched and I was fascinated by MJ because he was so different (and aggressive lol). So I can't help it, I love the prison version more.
Brazil version is great too!

I prefer the prison version. I just feel the message of the song is conveyed much better. I do enjoy the Brazil version though. It is a very unique MJ video and Brazil looks beautiful. I love the woman’s accent when she says “Michael”!
