I admit, if I was an exec there, I'd be thinking 'let's choose our moment here & wait for this to die down'. Admittedly, this then means you miss important album anniversaries like D30 or I20 but, every 5 years there's a notable anniversary that would have better timing. Yes, but I think they could still do projects that are important, but don't attract much media attention, therefore an excuse to bring up the allegations during a time of controversy. For example, the HD upgrading of his videos on YouTube. It's very frustrating that those masterpieces like Thriller and Smooth Criminal appear in such a low quality when you play his videos on TV. And seeing how now every last 80s one hit wonder gets their video upgraded in HD while you still have MJ's in 480p... That the Estate doesn't do anything there really has no excuse IMO. This is just pure laziness or that they don't care (then I don't know why they are there paying themselves high salaries if even this minimal effort that's a no-brainer isn't getting done). V. true.

The fact they have admitted they don't even have all the material needed to remaster some of the videos is kinda staggering. Should have been one of the first things they started doing. At this point "we don't have it" says "we haven't bothered" to me. Same story with all the music they don't have access to.

There are videos that they don't even need to do much to upload it in high quality. Like Thriller that's already upgraded. All the Moonwalker videos etc. They don't even upload those.
It's mindbboggling that they restored Thriller only to play it for a selected few and then put it in a box.

Jin might actually beat Taj to a good documentary about MJ. It's called "Trial by Media" and I'm not sure how focused it's on the allegations or is rather focused on how the media generally treated him (which, of course, would include the allegations, but not only). From interviews like the one below it seems like the latter. Anyway, it seems to be much more in the works now than Taj's.
He was also at the court hearings in the Robson case (which Taj wasn't and I don't know why).
Eventually this might turn out to be the doc to look forward to.

Looks like he has some serious equipment. I don't know who he is but this all comes across as very professional.

I should point out that when i post in this thread doesn't mean i agree with everyone and everything Taj says. i'm just posting because it's apart of the thread.
but anyway, whoever Taj put in the doc i feel that's his choice. he can't put every person or fan in the doc.
but i do agree he need to careful who he choose and pick. listen this doc is about Michael whatever we liked the people he was around with or not.
LN was almost 4 years ago.

So now the doc gonna be called “Re-Righting HIStory” instead of “Truth runs Marathons”. i disagree with the title i like “Truth runs Marathons” better.
i'm sorry he and his family had covid. it's nice to know he still work with his brothers. look like he moved too.
i feel he need to cut down on the long livestreams. he should make them at least 30 mins long. i didn't watch the whole thing just skip some parts. alot people has complain about that.
i'm still looking forward to this even though most people have move on and LN was 4 years ago.

I think the lack of interest in what this video actually contained speaks volumes at this point.

the apart of me feel Taj can't do this documentary. he could at least ask Prince to film and Taj can be the producer. Prince does have alittle talent in film he finish college not too long ago. Paris music video with her ex was which i do not like the song but to know Prince film it was nice. though like Taj said he not gonna force Prince, Paris, Bigi(blanket) to be in the documentary in anyway.
also he need to cut down the parts. we don't need i think 7 parts to tell a story. yes i know Michael has a big life but 7 parts is too much i think most people would lose interest after the 2nd or 3rd part.
Taj has good intentions he said the documentary is being film now. how much we don't know. maybe he trying to keep it a surprise. i do hope once it almost done he give us a preview or trailer.
with all the donations he got in the past years now the doc shouldn't be low budget or cheesy. it's coming from a famous family member to the general public.
do i think it will change people minds about Michael?
maybe but at the end of the day you really can't stop how some people feel about him etc.
i'm still looking for it. even though it's late....

I think you're a little out of touch with how streaming and watching tv works now. People will definitely watch 7 episodes if it holds their interest. People binge watch those streaming app shows. I watched the entire first season of Making a murderer in a day.

i respect your opinion but 7 parts is too much in my opinion. also it's depends how long is each part. some people do have low attention spans and i'm one those people. also i'm old school. i don't believe people should sit all day watching streams and tv. only it's the weekend when you don't have nothing else to do.
i don't do streams because i'm poor and it cause too much money. i do youtube or just buy or rent once the price goes down. yes i'm that old school and that's how poor i'm am.
