Whaaat? Where did Taj say or write this? I need to see it, omg Here's the text of Taj's tweet from 2021: Quite a few on that are eyebrow raisers. Anyway, Taj claimed he spoke to each person named which we know isn't true as he obviously hadn't spoken to Respect herself. Seany. Christ.

The truth on it's own is good enough. We don't need crazy fan conspiracies tacked on. I feel that's the way Taj leans.
To be honest, even when I donated I never had much faith in Taj's ability to get the documentary completed let alone produce something of the quality it needs to be.
I'm not really excited by any of the other fan documentaries either. Just interviewing the same old people. No real groundbreaking new investigation work.

yes i understand the doc is long overdue. but i feel we shouldn't harass Taj. no one has and no one shouldn't yes i understand the money part.
what i'm saying people have the right to be worried but to be rude and nasty isn't gonna solve anything. it's only gonna make the problem worst.
like i said none of know Michael and Taj personally we all just another dollar sign to them.
BUT like it been said before Taj seem to have a good heart so hopefully it not the case.

In the beginning Taj had alot going on. he had 2 children and lost one, covid which still the thing is going on and caught it, and alot more things i can't remember.
i agree his communication isn't well. i think this is his first project.

first of the title king of pop is ridiculous. Michael didn't own that name until Liz said it at the soul train awards in 1989
racism exists. the media been trying to tear down Michael ever since the Thriller success and the black community been seeing it even other communities have too.
you can't never leave racism out when come to Michael or any black artist. cause it exist and still exist today as we speak.
the black community are tired of it and as someone who is a black woman from America. i'm tired of it too.
media love to put black people down. especially the black man.

I feel Taj being a Jackson is now comprising the integrity of this project - at least for outsiders who aren't fans of MJ and are on the fence. People who aren't aware of the Estate setup and still think the Jackson family has a say in the Estate would probably think he's doing this to help protect the profits of the Michael Jackson empire - commentary I've seen online before.
It's also pretty clear that him being too close to the subject-at-hand has distracted him from the original focus of the documentary, because now he's trying to show off his uncle in other areas - going on about 'amazing stories' and what not. That's not something I believe a professional, unrelated documentary filmmaker would do and I feel this is just further backed up by how often/easily he goes off on rants on Twitter. And ultimately, as great as they are, I feel these 'amazing stories' and going on about how charitable MJ was doesn't really disprove that he molested children. You know who else helped raise millions of dollars for charity? A certain revolting piece of shit by the name of Jimmy Saville.
What we need is a documentary series that is the antithesis to Leaving Neverland, a well made, reputable, easily accessible document that we can just point to when the allegations are brought up. Something for when people say "Did you see that Leaving Neverland documentary?", you can throw back "Yeah, and did you see that other documentary on Netflix too? Called a lot of LN into question". However, what Taj is doing really just isn't it. Or, at least it isn't anymore. It seems like Square One is the closest thing we have (by the sounds of it - I haven't watched) yet unfortunately, that too hasn't really taken off outside of the fanbase, certainly nowhere remotely near Leaving Neverland. Perhaps the only thing that'll challenge LN is a well marketed Netflix documentary series that focuses on the allegations.
I'm sure I sound cynical, but I will also say that I would love to be absolutely proven wrong, and to have Taj's documentary have some impact on the general public.

Taj has every right who he wants to be in the doc. you see what i'm saying? i'm not talking about the money i'm talking about how fans tell someone who they don't even know, have no relations, to runs things.
i understand people want this doc to be good but to tell him how to run things it way too much and across the line.
in my opinion we really don't need anymore docs of Michael. he's gone and needs to r.i.p
you gave him your money that was your choice. you are now paying price. lesson learn never give money to people you don't even know. it doesn't matter their a celebrity.
guys let be respectful in this thread because we need this thread to talk about the doc. we don't want it to close.

๐คฆโโ๏ธ๐คฆโโ๏ธ๐คฆโโ๏ธ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ what mean that is we are just fans when it comes to relations to Michael and Taj. we don't know none of them personally. i feel some fans think they know Michael and Taj personally when we don't. we are just fans at the end of the day. as for the money yes i understand that part i'm talking about how fans obsess them like they were born in the Jacksons family when they're not. Michael and Taj aren't our brother, nephew, uncle, dad, grandfather etc we are just fans. they see us and probably forget about us after 5 mins. like some fans think Michael and Taj knew them when reality we are nothing but another chart data and money to them. Michael and Taj love their fans but it's reality. by any means i hope the doc goes well. This has absolutely nothing to do with the topic of this thread. Whether the fans know them personally or not, itโs still their money involved in making the docu and if nothing tangible comes of it, itโs their right to question that. You keep trying to create an issue where there isnโt one. Stick to the topic at hand. you don't get it. but that's fine. you okay.

Well first of all it's a discussion board, people can voice their opinions. But more importantly in this case, people just want him to stick to the original premise - the one they donated their money for! - of the project. It's not okay to raise funds for one thing and to then to use it for another.

I'm not really excited by any of the other fan documentaries either. Just interviewing the same old people. No real groundbreaking new investigation work. The only thing that would be really groundbreaking and might change public perception at this point IMO would be someone managing to interview Jordan where he would finally clear MJ's name and tell the truth. That's the only thing that has this potential at this point IMO. I know it's a far chance that this would ever happen, but I don't even see any efforts made in that direction for the sake of at least trying. And I think that would be specifically a task for a family member like Taj. I think some random fan approaching Jordan would have even less chance of success. If there's some tiny, remote chance for success that would come in the form of reaching out to him by a Jackson family member IMO. Maybe it's just a 1% chance, but if I was Taj I'd move mountains even for that 1 % chance. And I don't think that's happening. I feel there's this Jackson way of being scared of confrontation and they avoid any situation that could involve confrontation or rejection of any kind. Perhaps this is also the reason why he changed the topic from a doc about the allegations to a doc generally about MJ. So Taj is just going to go to the safe places and people who he already knows and who don't require heavy lifting to approach. From some of his tweets I'm also afraid this is going to some rather tabloidish direction with the likes of Stephanie Mills etc who are going to talk about what a "womanizer" MJ supposedly was. The Jacksons always seem to think this is a good rebuttal to the allegations. I hope it's not the angle he's going for, but to be honest I don't have big expectations of this project at this moment. Taj needs to up his game now to change my mind.

@naturecriminal7896 I mean this in the nicest way, but this is a very sensitive topic still for a number of reasons. I understand where you are coming from but I don't think this thread is for commenting on other peoples opinions of Taj. Taj at this point has clearly not delivered what he promised to do with money he actively sought from fans so I think it's best not to let emotions get the better of you when someone responds with a critical comment about Taj.

once you get what i'm saying then you will understand.
