It's now been over 4 years since this Go Fund Me was set up, and fans have donated over quarter of a million dollars to Taj. How do you feel today? Do you still have hope? Do you regret donating? I only donated a minuscule amount (thankfully) but I gave up on this in 2020 I think. I don't blame Taj for not having the skillset or qualifications to pull off what he intended to, and I fully believe he has always had good intentions, but I am particularly annoyed by all of his fluff updates of nothing. The moment has certainly passed, and MJ's reputation has slowly but surely been repairing itself in the eyes of the public without the help of a family made documentary. Taj has raised a lot of money and it's highly irresponsible and just plain bullshit that he's produced nothing of substance to date. I believe it'll happen eventually. I don't believe it will be anything game-changing.

The moment has certainly passed, and MJ's reputation has slowly but surely been repairing itself in the eyes of the public without the help of a family made documentary. Taj has raised a lot of money and it's highly irresponsible and just plain bullshit that he's produced nothing of substance to date. I did donate and I start to be a bit frustrated because nothing substantial seems to have happened. And whatever little happened just looks very unprofessional. Taj could do whatever he wants, drag it out however he wants, or completely abandon it IF he hadn't taken a lot of money from fans. However this way it's starts to look really bad now. If he can't or won't do it he should pay fans' money back and stop gaslighting us. Now I don't think this is some sort of pre-planned, intentional scam, I just start to suspect we are heading towards a certain pattern we have seen before with certain Jackson family members: a lack of work ethics and/or vision which makes them sit on their laurels forever while nothing is being done. Which was one of the reasons MJ went solo. I feel the next excuse for the next 5 years as to why he is doing nothing is going to be the biopic. I also give him the side-eye for moving away from the original goal (that fans actually donated for). I feel like Taj is too lazy or maybe too afraid to deal with the heavy topic of the allegations, therefore he chose an easier path which basically looks like a fluff piece, nothing really more than the David Gest documentary from a couple of years ago. Just sitting down with some people he's comfortable and familiar with and talk with them about how great MJ was. Not getting out of his comfort zone. Of course, even a humanizing documentary could be well done in a way it's impactful, but unfortunately I don't expect that type of talent or vision from Taj. He's talking about 11 episodes when he's done nothing yet. It looks like children daydreaming about what are they going to do when they grow up, not like a serious professional. Lisa Marie's death highlighted another problem: those who could credibly talk about MJ are not getting any younger. Now with his hesitancy, he missed the opportunity to interview Lisa Marie forever. Now, of course if this was a documentary about the allegations Lisa is not essential, although since she was with him during the Chandler one, she could have given some insight about his state of mind, mood, the human side at the time, so she could have been interviewed for that one too. And if it's not about the allegations, but generally about humanizing MJ, I think as the only woman who MJ was really married to and could credibly talk about marriage to MJ (forget Debbie), she could have been a great asset there too. Now, what is he going to have for the section MJ and relationships? Stephanie Mills? Shana Magnatal? Debbie Rowe? Cringe. This is just one example of Taj's missed opportunities due to his laziness.

Particularly now he's turned it into 11-part docu-series, talking about what a humanitarian he was etc, completely missing the point of who this is meant to be appealing to. This was a significant change after many had already donated. I would not have donated to what he is currently working on. What's worse is people are still donating. Someone donated $70 3 days ago and he hasn't posted an official update on the fundraiser since 21 March 2022. And also a very good point. If Taj wasn't able to capture Lisa Marie in some capacity he simply needs to face reality and shut it all down. Lisa Marie would have been a golden ticket for something like this, and someone I would have expected without second guessing.

I think fans would be wiser to donate to Jin. He's actually working. We are going to see results from him sooner than from Taj IMO. I mean him. mobile.twitter.com/jin_chohan

Private Investigation is a serious thing. he pretty much saying the documentary is under a law. so while he has the rights the company itself has it protected.
it maybe hard to understand. but this something much different.
you also only get two press releases.
Since MJ Biopic coming i'm not sure how they can release it. they pretty much want the documentary to be seen and not toss to the side.
i mean they can release it it just that will the other two documentaries will affect it.
Keep in mind the documentary is done it just need a good time and a good place to release it.

I donated a few times and I think it was as much a way to make me feel like I was being a proactive fan as much as anything else. I’m sure you guys are probably correct in much of what you’re saying but I’m honestly not bothered. Like everything MJ related, things can never be straightforward and I think I’ve just come to expect it now. The tied is slowly changing now until there’s inevitably another attempt to wipe MJ from history and maybe Taj’s project will be ready for that. Who knows.

I’m pretty sure I read he was sexually abused as a kid, so it could be triggering for him hearing about allegations when doing the work to get the documentary together.

I’m pretty sure I read he was sexually abused as a kid, so it could be triggering for him hearing about allegations when doing the work to get the documentary together. Totally get that, but we are talking a $250,000 of other peoples money. If that's the case, he should be open about it. As I say, I fully believe that Taj has had nothing but good intentions with this project but his naivety can only get him so far. The Jackson family made so many millions over the years so to sit on the money of the fans that contributed to their houses and luxurious lifestyles for decades without any concrete update is plain wrong in my eyes.

I’m pretty sure I read he was sexually abused as a kid, so it could be triggering for him hearing about allegations when doing the work to get the documentary together. I think this is maybe slightly grasping at straws. I like Taj, I think his intentions are pure and he defended MJ as best he could circa 2019 when the shit was hitting the fan, but at some point you need to be honest and transparent. As I say, I like him, and I’m not particularly bothered, but fans donated in good faith and they except it to be honoured. We all go through hardships and low points but we still have to fulfil our responsibilities. The question is, is ‘Is he fully committed to this project and where exactly is he within the process?’

I’m pretty sure I read he was sexually abused as a kid, so it could be triggering for him hearing about allegations when doing the work to get the documentary together. Does this make sense in light of his interviews defending his uncle on TV? I think not and he was very, very open about his own experience of sexual abuse. Seems to me it comes down to competency which is the ability to get things done in a timely manner. Doesn't look like Taj has that....

Well, since he knows firsthand what it’s like, I understand him being appalled by LN cause of real victims being silenced and these liars being triggering. We don’t know what he truly feels behind closed doors, it’s not really black and white when it comes to those things

I’m pretty sure I read he was sexually abused as a kid, so it could be triggering for him hearing about allegations when doing the work to get the documentary together. Yeah, he revealed in 2013 that he had been abused as a kid by an uncle on his mother's side of the family. It was right after Wade Robson first made his accusations. I even remember Stacy Brown being a fool like always and twisting Taj's words to mean that Michael was the one that molested him, even though Taj very clearly said that the uncle that molested him was from his mother's side of the family. Meaning there was no way it was Michael because, well, Michael wasn't his mother's brother. Ugh... just thinking about the stupidity pisses me off all over again.
