Looks to me like Taj would rather bang his keyboard and send out tweets to his echo chamber instead of showing a bit of what he's actually done with his project.... Dullboy is right. "Thank you Will Smith." The guys an idiot. Those responses. Woof.

I saw on MJJC that Charles Thompson has a much larger role than I thought, apparently doing scripts?
Is this thing literally a fan-doc with a budget of $250k and Taj Jackson slapped in it for personal anecdotes?
The more I find out about this the more I hope it never gets released.

Taj seems to think involving fans in this is a good idea. Already, its a weak spot to attack and a lot of people will not bother past this. So, it'll exist in its own echo chamber with fans....if it ever comes out. The absolute irony of Taj having a problem with Chris Rock, but pally with Thomson who always slagged MJ off as Twisted Vision. Even in 2019 or so he tweeted about MJ's nose having fallen off. Taj should be looking much more closely at the company he keeps. At least one of the people he's named for his doco is known to be racist towards white people. There's very, very little that's professional about this project, unfortunately.

It suggests that there is no "smoking gun", which would also suggest that this will be a regurgitation/mashup of all the other fan-docs and work fans have put together with some people that actually knew MJ (although as Respect keeps pointing out, it won't have many important characters as several have died in the past 4 years). I could be very wrong, but I don't think I am. Echo chamber is right. His twitter feed responses are exactly the kind of fan this documentary can't pander to. Also, Chris Rock made a joke. He's a comedian. Get over it. Thompson is downright nasty quite a lot of the time. But don't say anything about the Jackson family. Oh no.

There really isn't one and there's no way Jordan Chandler will say anything to exonerate MJ in this life. Definitely won't say a word in his will either. The whole thing for MJ will always depend on how many people believe in him. And that will depend on the ability to put his narrative out there over time. It'll always have to be very good to counter the other one. Taj certainly isn't talking about any other comedian and there's a LOT who've made fun of MJ over the years. But he seems to have forgotten the fact it is illegal to physically hit someone for mere words. Will Smith was out of order and his actions were disproportionate. Like some fans, Taj is ruled by his emotional reaction to Chris Rock. Sad to see that while MJ promoted the erasure of racial views, some fans are retweeting a racist meme in relation to who finds Rock funny. Funny thing is, Rock's audience is very much mostly black people - not white.

I find it hard to be mad at Taj and I'm one of the mugs who donated multiple times back in 2019. I wanna be mad, but he just looks like a cute little hamster, squirreling MJ fans money in his chubby little cheeks. Don't talk too loud you might scare him.

What's also amazing is how quite a number of fans keep talking as though Thomson is a major investigative journalist in the UK. He's really, really nothing of the kind! You don't see him on any major investigative news programme at all nor is he with a major newspaper. OK, he was a student journalist for a stint at the Guardian, but mostly wrote for a small local newspaper in Essex. Amazing some think he adds credibility to anything here. The guy has been living off his one piece on MJ for too long and anything since is very much on an MJ fan basis. 🤷♂️ I really cannot see Taj having any clout with this project and can only see it existing in an echo chamber, unfortunately.

Taj Jackson sat down on September 2 with Charles Thomson for the MJCast and he gave few updates on his documentary. Taj first talked about his family, going to Las Vegas for the Estate’s Michael Jackson Sapphire Celebration, Myles Frost and MJ The Musical and the Biopic. He also talked about the current case Robson/Safechuck and “Leaving Neverland 2” and said he will not let those influence his docu-series and more likely to highlight the lies set by the media. He might be able to rebut the new case by doing a second season of the docu-series. He also address the negativity from the fans around the making of his documentary. He said he can understand the frustration that some fans are having but also he got hurt by some of the fans comments, especially about the GoFundMe. He also suggested that some people in the industry are against his documentary and the Biopic. One of them is a “she” that needs to apologize to Katherine Jackson, clearly talking about Oprah Winfrey who he claims that she is really involved in attacking Michael Jackson. Thomson also touch on the cost of making a docu-series and that the amount raised on GoFundMe is just a very small fraction that is needed to produce such documentary. Taj mentioned that due to his name and the expectation people have, the documentary needs to be the best production possible and even win awards for it. He also said the GoFundMe was set to produce the pilot of the first episode and not the full series so people need to lower their expectations. Taj also confirmed that the documentary is still looking for funding as the two deals he announced last year never materialized. He confirmed that he will release the series before the Robson’s trial and before the Biopic which is supposed to be out in 2024. I was notified that most donors did not get this, so I am resending it. Please disregard if you have already seen it... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- First of all, Thank you so much for your donation. Secondly, I wanted to quickly clear up a few things that have been circulating around this project. 1. This docuseries WILL clear Michael Jackson's name once and for all. That has always and will always be its main purpose and focus. It will tackle the topics and crap that those of us who defend Michael daily have to deal with. The series will finally educate the uninformed/ill-informed public. That being said, It is equally important to also humanize Michael Jackson and show him as a real person and human being. Otherwise the general public won’t bother empathizing or sympathizing with him. I need them to feel all the horrors he was put through. It still amazes me to this day how strong my uncle was. 2. Although the last 4 years have taken its toll both mentally and physically, I will NEVER EVER stop fighting for my uncle. This docuseries is the top priority for me. And for those of you who have fought right there alongside me on the front lines … I am eternally grateful. We have held each other up. Last but not least... I truly appreciate all the love, support and confidence you guys have continuesly shown me. Together we can and will Right HIStory. That is a promise. Taj

As respect77 points out, there's nothing new in Taj's update. 🤷♂️ So one and a half years after the last update on his GoFundMe page, Taj now wrote an "update". Once again, nothing substantial was said, besides the general big promises that we have been listening to for over four years. He posted three images of MJ that look like from some home video. Well, he said he will address the allegations. That's it. Nothing about interviews he made, not even just a number about how many he has made so far, no pictures about the production. Nothing substantial at all. "This docuseries is the top priority for me." I wonder how it looks like when something isn't top priority for him... www.gofundme.com/f/re-righting-historyMy sentiment:

He's been doing reporting about pedophile rings for years, which is why he is valuable to the MJ defender community. He does an excellent job pointing out the glaring difference between cases involving actual pedophilles that he's reported on and Michael's false accusers.
And have you ever thought that he doesn't work for the major news orgs because he doesn't agree with how corrupt they are? If he had flipped to being Anti-MJ Im sure he could had a nice cushy job in a heartbeat, but he has always refused to slander Michael for money.

He's just a REGIONAL journalist and his awards reflect that, e.g Local Hero. For award winning, I'd be expecting at least one of the top NATIONAL awards. 🤦♂️ The most significant paper he's worked for post-student years has been the....Yellow Advertiser. A strictly Essex based regional one. Regional papers is his level - no shame in that, but don't make him out to be a major reporter in the UK. Oh, and he had very little problem saying all kinds of crap about MJ on forums when he was Twisted Vision as well. Nah, he's been living off his one MJ article as far as fans go. And isn't close being an influential journalist in the UK on anything, including MJ. But carry on fangirling the guy....🙈 As for the documentary.....no words left. Its a shambles.
