There is maybe even a silent defiance and protest in it. I have seen several people note that wearing their MJ shirts people went up to them in the street to compliment it.

"A lot of people say you can't play Michael Jackson anymore. Well I say this now, I disagree, we're taking him back!" Jack Black/Tenacious D

Billie Jean played in da club last night. More people danced to that than any other. I get more convinced that, in the UK at least, most are either unaware of all the LN stuff or they’re just ambivalent about it. If I didn't use Twitter I'd not have heard anything about Neaving Leverland since mid-March.

Saw this on Twitter and it looks like MJs legacy is still going strong (click to enlarge): View AttachmentI thought for a moment it was the same magazine but the letter style and what it says is different. Check the magazines before you buy them in case it's smearing against Michael.

Sigh... I'm not surprised. I have several magazines from after he passed that in hindsight I wish I hadn't bought because they all contain biased crap against him. The cycle goes on...

In all fairness, if they’re documenting his life or career then it’s hard not to mention the controversy as well. As long as they don’t believe in his guilt or spend too much time on it then I’m afraid as MJ fans it’s a cross we have to bear.

Sigh... I'm not surprised. I have several magazines from after he passed that in hindsight I wish I hadn't bought because they all contain biased crap against him. The cycle goes on... Ironic the media have hated him and have wanted his scalp for 34 years at least but they love to profit off Michael and the money he generates. If I had seen the mags I have in advance, I wouldn't have bought most of them but my mom came home with that bunch and I payed her. In all fairness, if they’re documenting his life or career then it’s hard not to mention the controversy as well. As long as they don’t believe in his guilt or spend too much time on it then I’m afraid as MJ fans it’s a cross we have to bear. It wouldn't bother me the media talk about the controversial aspects if only they told the truth instead of the same old biased shit but it's easier for them than researching the actual facts. There's no such thing as investigative journalism when it comes to Michael Jackson.

Sorry to be a downer, but I can't get excited that someone randomly somewhere has played an MJ record, and we call it good news.
Where is he on the radio, and TV?
For example, not that we should use Simon Cowell shows as a barometer necessarily, but in UK the Britain's Got Talent audition shows finished this weekend. Now normally there's a few MJ references during the series; impersonators, singers or mainly dance groups using his music (at least in snippets), but this year nothing.
It's this stuff that worries me for his legacy. Not to mention the pure injustice of it all.

Simon Cowell shows have producers and executives making calls to protect their product, giving what they think the people want/dont want. Hearing songs played in various places over the world is actual real life. Real people are choosing to play them. LN was toxic and slowly slowly its being forgotten. Its a long road.

Just having a low moment. He's the biggest selling, most inspiring, and best singer/songwriter/dance of all time, the odd playing of one of his songs shouldn't be a victory, it should be the law.
