Not a big deal, but I heard a cover band do PYT last night. It was fun to watch everyone go nuts when it started.

It’s always nice to hear MJ out, it’s complementary when you hear a band cover him, especially after this year. It’s another little affirmation that everything’s gonna be alright.😎👍🏼

And the album it comes from -his best ever- is largely forgotten about even though it’s one of the greatest sounding albums ever recorded. A box set for HIStory could have 10 discs of vocals and instrumentals and it would be the greatest release ever! And that’s before you put in demos, unreleased tracks, alternative takes! Incredible song from an even more incredible album! I think the HIStory album is more relevant now than it was when it came out, especially with songs like Tabloid Junkie and TDCAU. I hope we can see some more love for its 25th anniversary next year. I hope fans hound the estate to do something big for it. There’s got to be another discs worth of alternative takes and demos. The album itself deserves a revaluation and the recognition it deserves.

I've heard zero interruption of radio play and so on. Maybe that's why I called it not a big deal, just due to the environment over here. On a side note, they did a faithful / good job on it, although I was singing the higher notes more accurately than the singer was

MJ was the 84th most watched artist on YT this year with over 1.2 billion views. The only other legacy artist in the Top 100 are Queen. Considering they had all the positive publicity with the movie, and MJ had only shit thrown at him, even to them the difference isn't huge.
Imagine if MJ had got the same positive publicity from the media that Queen, the Beatles, Bowie, Elvis etc. are getting! But even with the shit constantly being thrown at him, they can't destroy him. He never depended on them. MJ has always been a people's champion.

It seems Queen are the only legacy act in every list that beats him. Only. Not bad for whats gone on

And Queen is only beating him since the Bohemian Rhapsody movie. For Queen this has been a year with very positive publicity and for MJ, with the the opposite. Considering that, the difference isn't huge either.

Also, "Queen" are actively touring! They have a mental following in Asia
