another small victory. So one of my best friends was at hair dresser today. She is a music teacher and she said she heard liberian girl at the hairdresser for the first time. She said the five part vocal harmonies towards the end made her head explode <3

Another incident that I'll take as "good news": I've mentioned a few times that I work remotely, so I don't really have to worry about hearing co-workers opinions but every so often we all end up at events together. Yesterday, we all flew into the same city for meetings this week and I only ended up connecting with 5 of them so far. Each of the 5 that I met up with mentioned that I'd been on their mind recently because of LN airing. All of them said some variation of not even bothering with watching it because they know me well enough to know that I would only be a fan if Michael was innocent. Further past that, I went to lunch with two of them and Don't Stop Til You Get Enough came on at the restuarant while the waiter was at our table. As soon as it started, the waiter smirked, pointed up and said "Oh boy how awkward, have you guys..." and my co-worker who is far more bold than I am cut him off and said "HEY, my buddy here could spin your head with actual facts about how nothing you've heard is true. So I'll kindly ask you to NOT finish that sentence" Needless to say, the rest of lunch was a little uncomfortable between me and the server LOL. When we got the check, I filled it out and under my signature I wrote "Sorry for my co-worker, but please just look up the facts. Michael is innocent " Everyone else flies in today, so here's hoping the rest of the week goes as well!

Everyone at the hospital has been so super nice when it comes to MJ! More and more people comment on LN, basically saying it's a load of crap!! Other patients, doctors, nurses and other staff. I love it here haha

Number Ones is up to #28 from #61 on the UK Top 100 album chart. The Essential has re-entered at #97. Just to add to this. Both Bad and Thriller re-entered the top 200 at #110 and #141 respectively.

I posted in another thread about how my night ended with a bad Michael experience last night however, I just remembered that at some point we heard a cover band do a rock version of The Way You Make Me Feel. That was really cool.

Truly the media lives in the Upside Down, they happily regurgitate all the bullshit surrounding the allegations and LN without challenging them or criticize them but the public still loves Michael despite the massive campaign to destroy his legacy. Mexican MJ fans protested once more this past weekend against LN. "Why believing someone who waited cowardly for Michael to be dead to speak ill of him? Michael Innocent!" I found out about this Spanish tribute show, Forever King of Pop too late to attend but it's so good to know all its dates were sold out. From March 13 to the 24, muting who?

I wanted to share this little story with you guys.
I was at a big family get together at the weekend and we were all sat outside having a barbecue. There was about 80 people there, not all family, some were friends of my relatives and quite a few unfamiliar faces.
My uncle fancies himself as a bit of a DJ, so he was in charge of the music. Half way through the night he starts playing Billie Jean, and loads of my family know I'm a massive MJ nut, and I squirm in my seat thinking "here we go."
At first nobody said anything and then this sour-faced woman who had sat in the corner all evening with her partner stuffing her face with the free food and not speaking to anybody made her disapproval known that they were playing an MJ song. I was so pissed off, I looked at her and said "don't you like this song? I think Michael Jackson is the greatest", with my wife next to me wanting the ground to swallow her whole.
This old bitch starts rambling on about Leaving Neverland and people turning a blind eye because they like his music. I was just getting ready to launch into a massive tyrade when a few other people joined in the conversation. "Oh are you talking about that Michael Jackson documentary?" piped up another lady I didn't know. "I don't trust those men, there's something not right there." My cousin chimes in and says "they're clearly opportunists out for his money."
Cut to about five minutes later and there's a whole group of about ten of us talking about it, all in agreeance that MJ was innocent. My cousin pipes up to my uncle and says "got anymore MJ songs Dave?" and the sour faced woman returned to her little corner with her husband looking defeated.

Isn't it funny/sad how such a source of joy for us (Michael's music) currently gives us that "here we go" feeling? I love when it goes the way it did for you though. Since hearing about LN in January, I've only had a very few instances where I've ended up with a bad experience. One was the other night and one was on another music forum. Other than that, I've had that "here we go" feeling you described many times since January only to have it end up going really well. I'm going to try to keep focusing on those positive situations. I'll take caution not to expect them, but I will still hope for them.

A spokesperson for Madame Tussaud's revealed that they won't be removing any of the wax figures of Michael Jackson from their museums in the near future. "The figures on display at Madame Tussauds reflect profiles that have had an impact on popular culture and that visitors expect to see. Michael Jackson has been and is currently a feature of Madame Tussauds attractions around the world," the spokesperson said. Adding, "We regularly monitor our choice of figures on display based on external events and visitor feedback. It will be kept on display for the foreseeable future." www.hotnewhiphop.com/michael-jacksons-wax-figures-to-remain-at-madame-tussauds-news.75079.html
