The one vibe I've gotten from Sheryl over the years is that she wanted to know Michael and get closer to him personally than she did. I think she was obviously somewhat disgruntled by the fact that she didn't and he didn't hang out with her as much as she wanted. I think her willingness to change her view of the tour from "exhilarating and fun" to "weird and bizarre" based on the general climate she's in shows that there wasn't a relationship of any kind there, and her view of the tour is influenced by how others see Michael.

I dunno Tony, one of the things I respect the most about you is your refusal to get whipped up into a frenzy and throw stones at anyone and everyone whose opinion doesn't align with your own. I love that about you. But at the same time, don't you think her past flip-flopping on MJ shows that she really has no backbone? Do you not think it shows how weak-minded she is that her opinion on somebody who was a significant part of her life is so changeable depending on popular opinon? I can't help but feel like she's afraid of saying anything that upsets the current liberal agenda that she'll say whatever she has to to protect her own skin. I find it hard to sympathize with people like that, who have a history of adapting their opinion depending on what they think others want to hear. Grow a backbone and think for yourself. If you're not informed on a subject, say "no comment." It's really not that hard. She didn't even watch Leaving Neverland to form that opinion. She saw one newsclip, thought "oh, he's a pedophile again now" and ran her mouth off about it. Reminds me of a great Morrissey lyric: "More lock-jawed popstars, thicker than pig shit, nothing to convey So scared to show intelligence, it might smear their lovely career."My God, Morrissey really does have a lyric for every occasion. Ironically, I just saw a headline today with a call to ban MJ and Morressey (and Ryan Adams) from radio. I didn't read it, was some obscure publication and I never heard about the dude who wrote it. Some DJ apparently who felt the need virtue signal about how moral he is because he won't play these artists. MJ because of LN. Morressey for supposed racism (I have no idea what he said) and I don't know about the third (don't even know who that is).

Ryan Adams is an alt rocker who had a string of sexual misconduct allegations last year including a young (not underage I believe) girl. He was forced to cancel his tour.

Thank you. I just find it hard to vilify or hate people I don't know just because of their opinions or a press article. Obviously on the opinions piece it depends how extreme but if it's just their thoughts on someone I really admire then although I don't agree and it winds me up I can't hate on them as I don't know the full story. It took me a long time before I turned by back on Oprah, obviously since her reaction to LN I have. But other celebs who just are asked their thoughts, I dunno not everyone is MJs biggest fan and that's okay.

Come on Tony, she trashed him in 2004 or 2005 because it was cool the industry turned their back on MJ but Sheryl flip-flopped to the nice mode after he died. That fairweatherness makes people look like they don't have integrity.
Fairweatherness and hypocrisy in its finest!

That fairweatherness makes people look like they don't have integrity. That's fair enough, she may well flip flop to be fair, but I'm kind of with Tony here. Her opinion of Michael Jackson doesn't really impact how amazing she was when she was diagnosed with cancer, and the work she's done subsequently to help research for early detection of breast cancer. Thats what Sheryl Crow is to me. One hell of a fighter and survivor. But each to their own. I really don't like what I'm seeing from fans on Twitter so I'm not getting any more into it. MJ fans fawn over awards etc, yet Ive seen so many morons call her a nobody etc. Shes won 9 grammys, MJ won 13. And thats only the tip of the iceberg of what I'm seeing. Anyway. Yeah. Disappointed she's that way inclined now, but that's about it. Very disappointed. Soak up the Sun. Ugh. That song......

She may have been successful in the 90s mostly but she's now a has been and she's clearly using Michael. Do you like users and people who take advantage of Michael's colossal fame to tell lies about him and get attention for themselves? I don't and her showing she doesn't have integrity and being a homewrecker doesn't make her much a good person to me.

I'm not even that big a fan of her music, but I've always admired what she went through, and the amazing work she's done. Her opinion of MJ and what she's said is shit, but I'm not going to support an all out attack on her which is happening now on social media. It's a damn shame is what it is (what she has said)

Crow has always been bitchy towards mj. Remember her in the 90's when she had mainstream hits making comments. She goes which ever way the wind is blowing.

I mean she was asked the question by The Guardian - it's not like she went on Twitter or whatever to say it. Of course her response was inane and I think showed incredible flakiness on her part, but quite frankly, I found the way The Guardian framed the question and her response to be worse than what she actually said - setting it up as "another problematic period in her life". Fuck that. Just read that she and Weinstein won some lawsuit together though.... Thicken the plot, this does... It was some deranged stalker dude they got a restraining order against so not really.

Michael heard those comments and felt hurt by them, so fuck her fair-weather ass! I bet if Michael had been a women's chaser, she'd have preferred to whore her way to the top with MJ instead of Greg and has held a grudge he didn't pay her the attention she wanted.

Sheryl Crow? Well, that's a blast from the past. Most people forgot she even existed, who cares what this overrated bint has to say? I wouldn't listen to that old bitch if she told me to move from an incoming train.

When it's cool to praise MJ she'll do so, when it isn't she'll slag him off. Shows what type of person she is. You can like her music if you want. Can I? Great news, thanks. Actually, I've changed my mind now. You're not allowed to like her music anymore. Sorry.
