Just watched Lies Of Leaving Neverland. Absolutely brilliant. Concise, short and straight to the point. How these guys are walking around as free men is beyond me. Oprah should watch this on a boat with her secret lesbian lover and give it a special.

Yes, trolls.
Not that I doubt it will win. HBO is hell bent on saving face about it and they are one of the main sponsors of the Emmys.
Don't say that!!! I will be seriously depressed if LN wins an Emmy. I actually had a brief-yet-shitty nightmare the other night where it won AND it was shown on TV (even though it's supposedly in categories not shown on TV), complete with standing ovations and shots of random people in the audience crying with JOY. "Oh thank god, we can finally censor MJ because this PROVES he's a monster and we can erase him from history and worship those brave baby boys as our new gods" etc, etc. It was awful. Everyone keeps saying "it means nothing" and such but in the end we don't have the power and money to dictate that. Only Hollywood does, and if it wins they WILL push this as proof that MJ was guilty because they KNOW people are stupid zombies who think that anything with a shiny trophy attached to it has merit.

If MJs reputation can weather LN (which it has), then an Emmy win won't change anything. It'll be sickening, and I'm sure the haters, gutter press and worst of all Reed/Robson/Dumbfuck will see it as validation, but it won't undo any of the inconsistencies and lies which are slowly creeping into the publics consciousness.

Milli Vanilli won a Grammy. They won an American Music Award. Enough said. Awards don't and can't validate anyone who is false or fake. They will remain just as fake and false as before.
I am pretty sure it's going to be pushed to win. It's all politics. HBO needs that award badly to show itself "victorious" in the face of controversy. The media needs it to validate their one-sided reporting. The Emmys will want to virtue signal towards MeToo and what better way to do it than at the expense of a dead black man, who cannot defend himself, rather than exposing one of their own? Isn't it interesting how deep they buried the Weinstein doc? Mind you, as I heard that one also talked about the media's complicity in covering up his crimes. Maybe that's why they don't want to touch it.

HBO is desperate to buy and validate the credibility LN never had, the estate will likely win the lawsuit against them. If awards can be bought, then they don't mean anything.

“Slept with several young boys”... I find it interesting how those who condemn MJ to be guilty cling to this inexorable notion that lending a bed to an unrelated child must mean he had a prurient interest in said child (sharing a bed with a child =/= sleeping with them?). It says far more about the detractor than about MJ. I’m not saying MJ shouldn’t have established appropriate boundaries, but to jump to the worst possible conclusion that he must have been an abuser because of such is a logical fallacy.
It’s slightly off-topic and not a direct comparison, but I was thinking about how Wade and James keep on changing their stories to appeal their case, to bypass the statute of limitations, and how detractors will excuse each and every inconsistency and hole in their story for the sake of faux trauma. It reminded me of an episode of Better Call Saul (A Breaking Bad spin-off), “Talk”, Episode 4 of Season 4, where Mike exposes Henry in his support group as a liar. Henry claims he lost his wife, but once Henry kept changing his story (“She wanted to go to Australia. Last month, it was Cuba.”), and could not produce an obituary, etc, Mike swiftly realized the man was never married and publicly outed and mortified him, causing him to leave the group.
The bitter irony. It should work this way in a TV show, when one constantly changes their story and cannot produce any evidence, that they should be exposed as a fraud rather than as a survivor. But in real life, no matter how many times they change their story, regardless of how much evidence they lack, irrespective of how many sworn testimonies and people contradict their allegations, they are championed no matter what as brave survivors and victims (whilst in actuality both James, Wade, and their families are victimizers, opportunists, and extortionists themselves, along with their lawyers). This is what #MeToo has resulted in, for all its good intentions.

My exchange with the mod of a GNR board: Mod: Matty: I responded to him as well haha, it's really annoying how he acts like he knows everything because he watched LN and ignores all evidence. Also instead of doing any research himself he does the classic "can you provide links to this information??".
