Weird interview, don't know what to make of it. It seems that the Guardian have been doing their rounds with these LN questions, first Sheryl now Kieran.www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2019/aug/21/kieran-culkin-roman-roy-hbo-succession-home-alone-child-star-michael-jacksonSuccession's Kieran Culkin on villainy, Home Alone – and Michael Jackson
It was a creepy enough anecdote at the time, but since HBO’s devastating documentary Leaving Neverland, in which two victims said that Jackson had subjected them to years of sexual abuse, it seems particularly grim. Culkin shifts uncomfortably, but he has seen the question coming – he tells me that he realised I would ask him about Jackson before the interview. He points out that he doesn’t have media training, signalling that what follows hasn’t been publicist-approved. “The only thing I can say is that I can’t really say anything and the reason for that is I can’t be helpful to anyone,” he says earnestly. “To me, it seems like there’s two sides to this thing and because I can’t be helpful on one side or the other, anything I say and anything that gets put out in print could only hurt somebody and there’s already a lot of really hurt feelings. There are already a lot of people who are in a difficult position and if I contribute in any way, it’s just going to hurt someone because I can’t actually help.” He sounds like an actor whos afraid of the pathetic response he'll get if he says those guys are lying. He'd be lynched. Celebrities are afraid to speak their minds now, and they are right. They have livelihoods. We cant blame celebrities for not speaking out, we can only blame those pathetic morons who go for peoples jobs when they arent in agreement. Its a shame. Edit- Ha I see outlets saying its his BROTHER he doesn't want to upset!? Not for one second did that cross my mind after reading the interview!!

Don't celebs arrange their interviews and tell what they want to talk about beforehand? Or just super A listers can do that? If Michael Jackson is such an uncomfortable subject in the MeToo and PC madness era.

And fans would not be satisfied with that either. And The Guardian has an axe to grind against MJ, they are like a tabloid with him and have been for a while, not just since LN. Frankly, it's a non story and I wish fans stopped turning it into one by spreading it on social media.

Quoting Celine's perfect PC statement again to emphasize Keiran should have stuck with his own experiences then instead of answering such a weak and coward comment. I must say he surpassed Janet in wussiness. These celebs should learn from Celine's integrity but I guess money dangling in front of them is a stronger incentive: "He was a gentleman and had a heart of gold whenever I met him and those are my memories of Michael. I would rather take people by own first-hand experiences than by what other people have to say."

That's basically how I interpreted it, and I can't blame Kieran for it - especially when his livelihood could be on the line. He basically refused to answer the question, just in an overly long manner.

Kieran seemed to avoid the question quite nicely without siding with either side as he, like everyone else, doesn't 100% know the truth. Yes, Celine answered very nicely as did Madonna. But for me as long as they're not saying he was guilty or giving answers riddled with innuendo then it's okay. None of us want to be riddled with innuendo.

He also works with HBO so saying anything too positive isn't in his best interest which is sad.

Raymone is now on. Defending MJ, shading the media and shading the Estate for not defending him properly.
Apparently a lot of the media broadcasts it, including CNN. That's only possible if she made them think it will be something negative about MJ. Only to turn around and shade them. LMAO. Genius.
