The Steve Aoki remix of Thriller just came on Spotify for me.
Christ it's dire.

Final Chart position in UK #9
Not bad really! I imagine there's many people who don't already own these songs.
And to put it into perspective, Miley Cyrus's new album was only one place higher. Did I dream it entered at #4? Miley's album will burn slower, I'd expect. Scream will never do better than it's week #1 sales. Though it's plummet of 21 places in week 2 isn't as 'bad' *coughs* as Bad 25's second week fall from grace.

Same here, last week in New Zealand #1 Heatseekers chart (#41 in reality), now gone completely. The album was a F2F (Failed to fire) and this means it probably sold less than 100 copies in total (In NZ a #1 album only needs to sell about 500 copies in some weeks).
Charts dominated by Rap/Shit Hop/Nu metal and poppy crap like Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber. I know I am old when I have not heard of people like Khalid, DJ Khaled, French Montana, Macklemore, Arianna Grandy, Lil Pump and the like.

Most fan only releases plummet in week two.
Madonna's Rebel Heart Live entered at 41 then disappeared.
Par for the course unless it's a first Greatest Hits collection.

I know I beat this drum constantly over at that other place, but was Graceland 25 a 'fan only' release? It had a fantastic chart run. In fact it's peak position was something like week 7 or 8, despite having a healthy placing in week 1 as well. To me it doesn't matter who an album is aimed at. If it's a good product, and marketed correctly, it'll sell. I'll be interested to see how Listening Without Prejudice does next week since it got a humongous launch platform on Channel 4 last night.

Well, Graceland is Paul Simon's Magnum Opus, not a collection of his lesser known tracks. I think it's a different kind of release.

But when it comes to deciding which of Scream, Bad 25 and Graceland 25 is a 'fan only' release we might be splitting hairs. They're all essentially catalogue albums by well known artists - MJ significantly moreso, ironically - that contain some of the artists' best known works.

I've come full circle with this thing. It's a fun CD, and I look forward to the vinyl.
Heartbreak Hotel is a very good album opener for this.
Xscape (new version) is still dreadful though.

The new remix of Thriller was #35 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronics Songs chart. It's #42 this week

OK I've had 2 vinyl copies sent to me BOTH with criminally loud noise on disc 1 side 1. Anyone else have this?

How many people have already forgotten this album exists now?

Anyone care to scan a picture of the booklet for us folk who are too cheap/sensible to purchase a copy? I always like to see what they do with the artwork, even if the content is just a rehash.

Overall very cheap. When opened its a 3 x 4 spread as shown i.imgur.com/KK5AyB8.jpgA lot of writing below cover images The other side shows a picture of Michael in a gateway, hovering a smart phone will make it come to life. I don't know as I don't have a smart phone. imgur.com/LnsPfLkThe cover and back i.imgur.com/sOEfTdB.jpgClose up of some of the gibberish imgur.com/e2RJdxpI honestly do not know how to upload pictures here, the photo icon does not work, so hopefully these links will

Yeah, it does look a bit cheap. Tbh, I was never a big fan of the cover artwork, it looks too cartoonish. When you compare it to the artwork for Ghosts, itβs like night and day.
