My problem with Twitter bans is that they are highly selective and ideologically lean in one direction. For example, you can be banned for "misgendering" someone, but I have seen so many people get away with blatantly antisemitic rethoric in the past weeks. And not just in the past weeks. A few months ago there was even an antisemitic trend "Jewishprivilege". Apparently if it comes from the left antisemism is an acceptable form of racism these days. But yes, it would be good to know the concrete reason in this case. Twitter is renowned for its heavy handed censorship. They have their head so far up their own backside, they're unable to comprehend they're some of the most illiberal people going. The person got suspended because they tweeted misinformation about the vaccine. www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-57374241I'm not sure how saying the vaccine is a "software platform" is "scientific debate" but ok... why are people defending such crazy, flat out lies as "free speech"? I guess lying is technically free speech too... but to see people passionately defend the right to lie is just... I don't get it.

A lot of people nowadays confuse free speech with "I should get to say whatever I want and face no repercussions for it".
