Surprised there wasn't a thread on this. What do you think of Hawkeye HIStoric? I didn't have high expectations, but really hoped this would be good and I love it! I'm a fan of 80's comic Hawkeye, so the MCU one always seemed a bit bland but this is hitting all the spots for me!

I like the MCU, but I honestly don’t really have any interests in the comics. I think my general interest has come from a true appreciation of how well Marvel Studios have handled this franchise over the years and it’s interconnectivity (I’m sure it also helped an ex-girlfriend was quite into it so I watched a bunch of them to get on her level lol). That was a few years ago though, it’s now developed into a me becoming a proper middle-of-the-line fan. I just finished rewatching Avengers IW/Endgame this week back-to-back after each other (highly recommend). I’m really glad they took the time with that one - I enjoy it when they take their time with stories which is probably why I’ve quite enjoyed Wandavision, Loki, and (so far) Hawkeye. I also definitely didn’t get teary eyed because of someone’s reaction to something that happened (to keep it vague since no spoilers). As for Hawkeye, I don’t think it’s perfect but I’m quite enjoying it. I’ve only seen the first 3 episodes and need to see #4. I’ve never cared much for Hawkeye before but I’m really enjoying his character a lot more here, as well as the chemistry between Jeremy Runner and Hailee Steinfeld too. It is only 6 episodes long though so sounds like we only have another two weeks before it’s all wrapped up! Super duper keen for Spidey!

Gotta be honest I am not the biggest fan of literally everything being connected and it really puts me off watching the films. I haven't seen all of them but know enough to know what's going on and have to admit most of the ones I have seen have been entertaining. I'm very excited for Spiderman. I need to watch the films that I haven't seen now that I've got Disney Plus.

Yeah, looks like it'll finish up nicely before Christmas, which suggests a happy ending (I'm hoping). Mad to think that Iron Man 3 is the only Christmas related release up to this point. Yeah Hawkeye has been fairly meh in the MCU, where as in the comics he was a bit of a mess and a dickhead which made him way more interesting. Gotta be honest I am not the biggest fan of literally everything being connected and it really puts me off watching the films. I need to watch the films that I haven't seen now that I've got Disney Plus. Yeah man, expectations are so high for Spider-Man. I'm actually in the middle of a rewatch of all the older ones ATM. I'm hoping to go as early as possible this week some evening. Yeah and you may as well get the most out of Disney Plus. I barely watched it aside from WandaVision, Loki and Falcon & Winter Soldier this year, but I held onto the sub for Get Back. But now that Hawkeye is on, I'm holding on to it.

I will watch Spiderman No Way Home tomorrow, it's still Thursday here in Mexico.
I hope not seeing 3 Tom Hollands, though I think he's a charismatic Spidey despite his inexperienced nature, I still can't get over how Mary Jane and aunt May were tokenized for the sake of forced inclusion.

Fan service improved what it would have been a very weak story without it. It made me go back in time to my teenage years though and as nostalgic as I am, I approached that.

What bothered me is that the director didn't know how to film Spiderman in movement in a very specific scene when he was swinging with his web in the dark. If you know what scene I'm referring to, it'd have looked epic if Spidey didn't look blurry and could distinguish "him."

Why did you have to make this thread non-spoiler 😂
But man, what a GREAT film. I absolutely loved it. I think they handled it all exceptionally well.

Just got back from seeing No Way Home. While I'm not really into Spider-Man in general I had a TON of fun with this! This may be my favorite out of all the Spider-Man movies I've seen. I do wish they had gone a bit deeper into some aspects but for what it was it was good and a good ending to this arc.

It’s a must see!
