Maybe in a way. I believe our souls are pieces of one whole being and we borrow them for a while for our time here on earth. And when we die we go back to the source. So in a spiritual sense my belief is that all beings are connected. And we are connected to some more than others.

This thread is gay and that's coming from me. No offense butterflies2. Well I’m not straight and neither are you, so I would hope you didn’t mean gay being a synonym for shit Was just feeling a little emotional when making the thread and don’t really have anyone to talk about this with, including friends who are fans

No. I love the dude immensely and especially in my teen years he was heavily responsible for getting me through some dark shit. I can totally relate to why someone would feel immensely close to him or any other musician since he’s always been there for us through his music, significantly growing our emotional connection with him. It’s parasocial interaction at its finest. But in saying all of this, at the heart of it he was also literally just some guy who made great music and none of us knew him personally. I think it’s a beautiful thing that we feel like he is there for us because of his music, but I’d never go so far as to say he - or any of my other favourite musicians - are my ‘guardian angels’ or that they’re looking out for me. I’d probably keep that for someone I knew personally who cared deeply for me as well.

Good point, though I don’t think it’s about quantity
He’s definitely helped me through some dark shit in my teens and 20s, and it hurts that I wasn’t able to show him he was loved. I’ve never had a life partner and would like one, but I don’t know if I’m going to be capable of loving someone the same way again and it makes me sad cause I don’t want to grow old and alone

at first i didn't understand and didn't want to say anything until i did. whatever you say angel or anything else. yeah. LMBO! growing up in my life i had/have a few family members, friends, and acquaintances who was/is alot like Michael. it's pretty neat and explain somethings.
you have to be spiritual to understand. Michael was spiritual and some MJ fans are spiritual.
now as someone who black i also see him my ancestor now. some blacks nowadays call blacks who didn't passed away from slavery also their ancestors which in someways their kinda right giving the fact we all came from same culture.
this is a old thread but since i know about your history if you ever want to talk about it butterfiles2. you can always talk to me though PM.
