You Are Not Alone -see what we did there?- by long shot. I think a lot of people write-off Bad because of the 80's production, saying it aged badly, it sounds dated etc. But thats one of the reasons I LOVE it! And TWYMMF was such massive part of the late 80's. The music video, Grammy performance with slow intro and the Bad Tour performance are all top notch. Funny that people say that about Bad, yet it's MJ's other studio album besides Thriller that constantly charts. It's not OTW (which critics will say is the one that still sounds fresh and isn't "dated"), but Bad that does that. It must mean something. And how many 30-40 years old albums still regularly chart? Those that do you can claim to be classics that stood the test of time. Bad is definitely among those classics. Think we've discussed this before. It depends if you think of dated as a bad term or not.
Yes the album sounds more dated than any of his I think due to the synthesised production, you can instantly tell it's late '80s. But that doesn't detract from the quality of the music.

Yeah I agree, it sounds like dated late 80s production, because it dates from the late 80s. It goes back to a peach and black podcast episode (Australian Prince fans) and they said an album from 1995 sounded dated and mid 90s, and the other said of course it did, it dates from the mid 90s.
I just love 80s production and not budging with TWYMMF, even my avatar has a still from the video, it looks like they are walking together, in fact Michael is trailing her and singing at her, no doubt about his lonely days are gone and the like.
Anyway, just a few more days before the MattyJam list shorn of 80s classics drops. We all can't wait and I am prepared to laugh at anything that is said.

I'm afraid I went behind his back; over his head and posted my 100 list. I felt quite guilty for all but 10 seconds. It was causing me sleepless nights so I had no choice really.
