If you can't handle a difference of opinion without storming off like a 5yr old then you got much bigger problems on your hands than a stolen laptop....

If you’re going to preach morality you’re best off practicing it.

You dont care that personal property was stolen, you dont care that personal files , the entire contents of a hard drive have been put online, putting Brad and others at risk, you dont care about IP theft and the legal implications??? Are you saying you dont care about criminal activities and the entitlement culture that has infected the community?? No offense, but no - couldn't care less. Far more important things to worry about. Have you turned on the news lately? While I am disgusted the laptop was stolen, this message is just as relevant. How many times are we going to allow ourselves to feel bad over something Michael Jackson related when it really doesn't affect us in any way? Is a stolen laptop worth more than 51 dead kids in Pakistan for example? Life is way too short. Brad will be fine. Michael Jackson's children will eat. The thief will hopefully see justice. This thread will dwindle. The world will move on.

No, I've had mixed feelings about his seminars for 8, 9 years. Even if it's not out of malicious intent, Brad has been profiting off Michael's creations for 10 years. I mean, this is a valid question. Obviously he’s not making millions, but he’s certainly seeing the world by way of MJ. I get that point, but I guess the question is whether you find that a problem. The tickets are expensive, but of course you don't just kick back there for an hour while he plays some unreleased tracks. It's a day-long (sometimes multi-day) programme during which you get to hear, from his perspective, what it was like to work up close and personal with one of the greatest artists of our time. It's even better when he brings other guests along. Looking back at the two times I went, it's really not the rare stuff (which is honestly not that much) he played that ultimately stands out. It's having a chance to sit down, listen to, and having an informal chat with people who were in the room when songs that have meant the world to me since my childhood were created. Being able to ask Brad Buxer about tiny details I've been wondering about since I was a kid while sipping a coffee is priceless. Of course the rare stuff is great, but I'd be happy to go there too if he didn't play rare material. At those seminars Brad is respectful, doesn't overplay their friendship, and never gets into anything salacious. You come away knowing more about MJ as an artist and as a person, way more than you do at a Cirque show or Broadway musical (and no one seems to care that those bring in tons of money, not just for MJ's kids). Isn't that what we want from posthumous products and events? If he makes some coin on the side - and indeed, I don't think it's all that much - more power to him.

Well sure, and I agree in large part to what you’re saying. Absolutely. But when people are throwing morality around the room I think SnowWhites point is somewhat a valid point/question. I like Brad a lot by the way. He seems a genuinely great guy. My issue isn’t really with his seminars, and I’m sure they are wonderful. My point really is more around the listening/watching of leaked material of which I make no bones about that I will always listen to and watch when and if they fall into the public domain whether it’s illegal or not and I have more respect for people who are honest in that way rather then preaching the moral high ground when it suits them. If fans really have an issue with listening to leaked material then I would hope their not watching ANYTHING on YouTube, or sneaking in to HIStory Tour concerts for free.

I want to be disgusted by the theft, but in all honesty, there was something quite comical about some nerd waiting until the room had cleared and doing one out of the window with the laptop. You gotta laugh at the gall and the balls it takes to go through with such a scheme. Besides, who amongst us hasn't put through 4 pink lady apples as a bag of onions on the self-checkout before now? It's hardly Oceans Eleven.

You got school teachers who don't wanna teach You got grown people who can't write or read You got strange diseases, ha, but there's no cure You got many doctors that aren't so sure We've got more problems than we'll ever need You got gang violence and bloodshed on the street You got homeless people with no food to eat With no clothes on their back and no shoes for their feet We've got drug addiction in the minds of the weak We've got so much corruption, police brutality We've got streetwalkers walkin' into darkness Tell me, what are we doin' to try to stop this?
