I posted this on my personal fb and my podcast Twitter so I thought I'd share it here:

June 25th is always a hard day for me and has been for the past 14 years.

I understand that some folks have different opinions on Michael Jackson as a person but I have to say that I think that comes from a LOT of misinformation. I've done an extensive amount of research and from what I can find, the guy never harmed anyone.

That aside, I think he was one of the most bullied people on the planet in modern history. The tabloids and general public constantly bullied him for things he couldn't help, such as his Vitiligo. The court of public opinion (only in the United States) convicted him of the worst crime a person can commit. Even in the face of those things (and much more) he kept going.

In any case, this is always a hard day for me. One silver lining is all the audio and visual masterpieces we still have. So I'll be listening to and watching that stuff throughout the day
