Anyone else following the story of the submarine trapped at the bottom of the ocean? It’s awful isn’t it. Like a horror movie in real time. Those poor people.
This is why people who do dangerous thrill seeking activities like climbing Everest or this should always carry a cyanide pill.

The whole thing is just unimaginable when you consider what they must be going through. Unless they already died if it imploded days ago I guess. If there was damage or a leak, the pressure of all that water would pretty much rip it apart.
But I’m guessing if they think there’s banging down there they could be still alive in there. No one will prob ever even know now.

Apparently the Frenchman is ultra-experienced, so some have expressed hopes that he has organised the others to sleep whille one stays awake, which can help stretch out the oxygen time a little longer.

The last thing anyone would want to do before dying is Sleep. They are probably freaking out , high blood pressure and all , using up More oxygen...

I'd rather be semi poor and read my books and do my hobbies and cook what I like in my little house. The older I get the more I enjoy the comfort of my own home and have no desire to do something like these people. But somebody has to be adventurous, let them have at it.

Do you think they're drawing straws for last fucks with the teenager? Maybe that was what the banging sound was?
Sad he's no looker. Moral of the story: if going subbing, dont use a $30 Playstation consol as the control, and always take someone hot, for a worse-case scenario.

This is why people who do dangerous thrill seeking activities like climbing Everest or this should always carry a cyanide pill. Cyanide is anything but peaceful, carbon monoxide poisoning makes you puke and choke on your own puke. Just being pedantic, I know what you mean. A nice, Swiss-made set of end-of-life pills in your breast pocket would be a very comfortable feeling.

Seeing photos of just how small the submersible is inside made my palms start sweating—I knew it was a small vessel, but I guess it didn't occur to me that it was THAT small. Being trapped in something like that under the vastness of the ocean is a pure nightmare; the thought induces nothing but dread. And for what? If you want to see the Titanic wreckage, there are plenty of videos that have been recorded that you can watch from the safety of your own home. If you want the "experience", make a blanket fort and blast your air conditioner while you watch it from your laptop. It's just not worth the risk.

This is a MUST WATCH:
Here is the Frenchman, who seems to be a decent, intelligent, rather nice chap, earlier explaining to an interviewer what would happen if something went very wrong on the Titan: death by hypothermia. He notes that this is a "rather pleasant way to die."
He seems he would have been interesting to know. I hope he was right and that they died exactly the way he describes in this clip.

I’m watching this nonstop on the news. It’s so tragic.

If the sippets I read on social media and in media are true, this was an incredibly irresponsible voyage. Apparently Stockton Rush, the owner of this whole business who is also on board, didn't think much of safety measures. When he was warned by one of his engineers of how unsafe this vehicle is, he fired him.

I’m watching this nonstop on the news. It’s so tragic. I've been following it too. I know it doesn't look likely, but wouldn't it be something if they were rescued? Hope is the last thing to die. Still praying for a happy ending.

Still praying for a happy ending. It truly would. They knew what they were signing up for with this type of exploration but it would be a miracle if they got out alive. Can only imagine what it entails to drop to the deepest depts or climb the highest highs.
