I think off the wall is a stronger effort though I’ve definitely played invincible more Matty will have a baby now that you've said that.

Why do we never talk about Off The Wall? Universally loved album. MJ fans love a conspiracy and a moan.

I think he does what the songs require of him, which is what a great singer should do. To say he sounds weak on Invincible is patently untrue. Maybe he's not singing in your preferred style, but that's an artistic choice, not out of lack of ability imo. I know Matty. We disagreed on this aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages ago. You said artistic choice, I (and someone else, can't remember) said strain and discomfort. Also, I will revert you to my first statement "Tbh his voice sounds weak on all of Invincible for me." Opinion brah. Stop being a pissy forum owner. BTW there's a nutjob running loose on MJJC at the minute calling himself an Invincible Warrior, ye'd get on. It's the dement I messaged you about actually! Have you ever tried actually singing along to something like Unbreakable or Butterflies or Speechless? These songs are not easy to sing. And he sounds incredible to my ears. Tell Invincible Warrior to come join - I need all the support I can get.

I also think those who aren’t receptive to invincible may not be familiar with his jacksons material, his voice on invincible sounds like a return to form of those days

His voice sounds bright, airy and full of life on the Jacksons records. It sounds rougher and at times strained on Invincible (which is not to say the singing is bad on the latter, but imo the two couldn't be further apart).

I listen to every Jacksons album more than Invincible and prefer most of them and that doesn't pair up for me at all. Even with the songs the Jacksons didn't write on The Jacksons, Goin Places etc. MJ sounded comfortable with every song, smooth as chocolate. I can't compare any song on the '76 album to Invincible delivery or performance wise. The late motown period through to '84 was his absolute peak as a vocalist and to me couldn't be further from what we hear on Invincible. BTW his singing is still amazing, all of this is in comparison to his better work! I love Invincible
