Scream - What a moment. That intro "I'm here to disrupt". The equivalent of George Michael's Outside (I've got nothing to apologise for - fuck you). Brilliant. 9/10
TDCAU - Not heard anything like it. Before or since. A song only Michael Jackson could make. Not sure how he came up with it. 10/10
SIM - Aaaah. After the anger amd vitriol of the first 2 tracks, comes cleansing rain. Hauntingly beautiful. What an arrangement. That voice. 10/10
This Time Around - Remember first play in 1995 and clearly thinking, my God he is actually capable of making an average song. I mean it's okay, bit after that opening trio it's just... disappointing. 5/10
Earth Song - Okay, he's slightly redeemed himself. It is just magnificent. The pomp, the grandeur, the voice, the complete set of massive balls to create something like this. I love MJ's crescendo songs. This just builds and builds and when you can't think it can't build anymore it erupts all over you. I reckon I've listened thousands of times and every time it blows me away. 10/10 doesn't seem enough.
D.S. - oh he's lost it a bit again. I get the message and again his massive balls are to be admired. But musically it falls short 5/10
Money - Better but still falls short against the masterpieces on the album. Lyrically great though 7/10
Come Together - Just up there amongst the best covers ever. Yeah, yeah I get all your points about it's place on the album. I mean it was 7 years old by this point and it's an edit. But I'm still going to score it on it's own merits 8/10
You Are Not Alone - yes it sounds great, and the adlibs are amazing, but well..put it this way, I never play it unless playing the whole album. But when I do, I enjoy it 6/10
Childhood - Enjoyed it more as the years went on. Just beautiful. That video that appeared last year of him recording is bliss. Heartbreaking. 8/10
Tabloid Junkie - holds the merit of being the first adult MU song that i can't sing along to. No idea what hes snarling on the rapped bits. Nevertheless a cracking track. Remind is all that we have our part to play in allowing tabloid madness. Grammar wise, disrepectable should be disrespectful but ya know, poetic license and all that. 8/10
2 Bad - This is my deep cut from HIStory, and I'm not sure anyone else in the fandom enjoys this as much as me. So fucking funky, lyrically another winner and impossible to sit still to. Was over the moon when this appeared in Ghosts 9/10
HIStory - Don't claim to like this as much as my friends do but appreciate the complexity and arrangement. I play more now than I used to though 7/10
Little Susie - A wise man once said, "Popstars aren't meant to do songs like this, are they?". One of my all time favourite MJ songs. Another haunting and beautiful track. Again, the balls of the man, after the recent couple of years, including a song about child neglect and death. 10/10
Smile - Starts with a scream and ends with a smile. The second cover on one album but so, so needed. What an arrangement and the ending from the whistle onwards. After all the hurt, the pain, the anger on the album then the last sound we hear is him laughing...gives us all hope that it's going to be okay. 10/10

Don't be stingy - it's at least a 9. And don't get me started on the title track.

And don't get me started on the title track. Whatever I write, that's what I really mean.....I don't write it, if I don't mean it.

Scream - industrial funk noise. Love it. 10
TDCAU - like @innuendo141 said, unlike anything else I can think of. Love the synth strings against the sparse arrangement. 10
Stranger In Moscow - Love the beat of this one and wistful melody. 8
This Time Around - always surprised this didn't catch on Stateside, likely due to the abrupt halting of the album campaign after the cancellation of the HBO special. Could've been a hit in America. 7
Earth Song - gut-wrenching. MJ at his most passionate and at the peak of his powers. 10
D.S. - the ultimate middle finger to his arch-nemesis. How he avoided legal ramifications from this is beyond me. 7
Money - a cool song Lyrically, spoken word verses feel a bit lazy though. It worked on Dangerous because the pre-chorus/chorus/middle-8 was melodic, but not so much here. 6
Come Together - total filler. 2
You Are Not Alone - one for the ladies. I like it but don't love it. 5
Childhood - deserves more credit than it gets from the fanbase. I was obsessed with this song during the 03-05 allegations. 9
Tabloid Junkie - probably my favourite on the album. Can you imagine a music video or live performance of this? 10
2 Bad - cool track, love his vocals on the verses and such a cool, unexpected inclusion in Ghosts. 8
HIStory - love the contrast between the verses and the rest of the song. Really stops the song from being a cheesefest. 8
Little Susie - used to creep the fuck out of me as a kid! First song I ever learnt to play on the piano. 8
Smile - a nice album cut and poignant, uplifting end to the album, but not a favourite. 6

2 Bad - I remember seeing this on the back of the cassette box wondering if it was related to Bad, Had exactly the same thoughts when I was saving up my pocket money to buy the album. Tune!

Do you think CLHGA is better than This Time Around or DS?Β 100% CLHGA has grown on me lately, especially the last half where he goes bonkers with the beatboxing stuff. But D.S. is better. TTA maybe on a par.
