She was asked about politics, the election and Kamala Harris and she started spouting Trumpist talking points about Kamala's father not being black, but white. (Factually untrue.) Randy is MAGA and Qanon based on some of his social media posts so Janet probably took this from him. I think her "billion dollar industry" child trafficking comments were probably based in Qanon lore rather than how trafficking actually works as well. And Randy decides when to release her music? Weird stuff lol. |

Did anyone read that Guardian interview? I skimmed it and it was pretty bad… I just wanna know why she gave a rare interview to the GUARDIAN out of all publications? Who is known to be fairly spiteful towards Jackson’s. And the fact that it was released the week her brother died when they most likely knew it would garner bad press for her is kinda gross imo.
Listen, I know she made those ill informed comments and should own them, but I felt the journalist’s tone was v antagonistic and snarky throughout. It certainly was no puff piece that’s for sure…
Just some awful PR moves being made in the janet camp as of late.

Apparently a janet fan released that earlier rebuked apology. Did anyone read that Guardian interview? I skimmed it and it was pretty bad… I just wanna know why she gave a rare interview to the GUARDIAN out of all publications? Who is known to be fairly spiteful towards Jackson’s. And the fact that it was released the week her brother died when they most likely knew it would garner bad press for her is kinda gross imo. The shits really hit the fan for Janet with this.
Considering a vast majority of her fanbase will be black women and gay men, publicly echoing MAGA narratives isn't the wisest career move.
People blame Randy, but Janet has her own mind and I'm sure he didn't hold a gun to her head.
She's really pissed away a lot of goodwill many had for her with this interview.

It's more like him leeching off Janet. To be honest I don't know to what extent this "it's all because of Randy" works. After all Janet is a grown woman and unless she's mentally impaired she's responsible for what she says in interviews and whose opinion she chooses to follow. The relationship between Janet and Randy always seemed weird to me. Two siblings being so attached by the hip even into adulthood. Either it's because they are more alike than Janet fans are willing to admit or it's some sort of Stockholm syndrome. I have no idea. Randy is menace and always has been. To think that some fans rooted for him to take over MJ's Estate...

With MJ Randy took advantage of MJ's vulnerable state during the trial, but MJ actually had a falling out with him then as he realized he Randy was taking advantage of him.
I don't think it's the same relationship as Randy’s with Janet. Janet seems to stick with him no matter what kind of trouble he gets her into or how he is controlling and ripping her off. But then maybe they are more similar than Janet fans would like to admit and that's why they get on so well.

i'm not into politics but i decided to say my opinions on Janet recent comments.
in my opinion and most blacks have said Janet or any of the Jacksons don't need to say anything about Kamala not being black.
now i agree Kamala Harris is not black at all. she's Indian, a person of color.
with that being said if Janet means Kamala don't care about black people. i mean after Kamala comments she said about the black community and public stunts etc. i don't blame Janet. but Trump and Joe Biden have shown how they feel about black people for the past 8 years now too.
with that being said i don't care if you a Republican or a Democrat etc vote who you vote for. if Janet and Randy like Trump who cares? there's blacks who like Trump and there's blacks who don't like Kamala.
i'm one of those blacks who don't care who you vote for. if it does something to help the black community so be it and what i mean help the black community i mean help it. not stupid museums or stores that we don't own or stupid holidays.
