Brilliant. I’m looking forward to hopefully getting more of an insight to Vera’s lawsuit. Respect, what was the YouTube video you provided the script for again? I can’t remember the name. Do you mean this? youtu.be/rgSbSotJgUY?si=l1xPlGYg5Q-MHon5Yes this is the one. You done a great job on this. I just want to make a list of projects that show the actual truth. 😎👍🏼

My short opinion on hearing this podcast is, what the fuck were the estate and Sony thinking? Those horrid songs had red flags since they were heard for the album's selection of tracks.
The answer is likely money but the estate was given plenty of chances to not be at this point of a good portion of the fandom hating on Branca and morinen's (Vera) lawsuit.
To me Teddy Riley was not a victim of Sony and estate's power,he suspected the songs were fake from the beginning but as soon as he was offered more money, he flipped the coin. He bit the hand that fed him. 😡

My short opinion on hearing this podcast is, what the fuck were the estate and Sony thinking? They got greedy and let that greed overpower common sense and morality. They knew the vault of usable unreleased tracks was small so just imagine their excitement when they were presented with 12 mostly completed songs. Recall that the Estate agreed to produce 10 posthumus projects for Sony. Using three Cascio tracks per album to pad out the real unreleased MJ songs would have allowed them to release four or five posthumus albums instead of only two. It was all about greed and desperation for more usable material even when the songs were obviously fake.

Can anyone explain why they chose one of the most obviously fake tracks as the lead 'single'?
If they needed the fake tracks as 'padding', why lead with them?
Surely anyone with ears would start with Behind The Mask? Both a cracking track and undeniably Michael.

Yeah, i’ll never understand the reasoning behind the estate/Sony riding for the Casio tracks so hard when they are clearly shit songs, Michael’s voice or not, the songs are awful and imo embarrassingly so. I understand they bought the songs and signed a contract, but couldn’t they argue they were sold fake goods and get out of it? There’s enough evidence imo. Maybe that was too much effort… It just makes me think perhaps they didn’t want to rock the boat and give the Casio’s a reason to turn on MJ… Who knows? Anything’s possible in the MJ world.

Maybe that was part of the agreement with the cascios. You can have the tracks but we want them front and centre

It would have been so much easier to simply compile unreleased songs that they for sure had as well as rare songs and market it as such.
1. Hold My Hand 2. Hollywood Tonight 3. Slave to the Rhythm 4. I Like The Way You Love Me 5. Can't Get Your Weight Off Me 6. Best of Joy 7. Someone Put Your Hand Out 8. Another Day 9. Behind the Mask 10. Much Too Soon
would've worked imo

Much Too Soon would've worked imo I think their intention was to create an album of recently recorded songs so they could promote it as the album MJ was working on in his last few years. Obviously, their tunnel vision led them to make v dumb decisions.
