I think the price may be lowered by the time it comes to physical somehow... I'm actually playing Liberty City Stories on the PSP atm. I forgot how much I loved this. There is SO much on the radio that would not fly today π€£π€£π€£ I got Liberty City Stories for my iPad last year but I wasn't really feeling it so I returned it (I'm aware it's designed for short, sharp game sessions but that and the graphics... eh idk wasn't my jam). That's just me though, I'm sure if I had a PSP when it came out I would've loved it. I have the other GTAs on my iPad anyway.
LOL are you talking about the talkback radio stations? I love those! I was literally playing one at work yesterday π
This Definitive Trilogy seems to be getting very mixed reviews. I'm sure it has frame rates issues on all things. 17 - 20 year old games, even with a facelift, shouldn't be struggling on PlayStation 5's.
You should probably check out some Switch reviews, it's not too great right now but they're definitely things that could be fixed with some patches. I'm sure if you can get used to it looking a bit rough it should be fine though Honest to god, I don't care how it looks. It looks "grand" to me. I have the originals, and they work so I always have them. I'm still looking forward to getting this (Christmas day, 20 years since I got GTA III and my PS2 for Xmas) so to be honest I'm just enjoying all the bugs for now, hoping they'll all be ironed out by xmas! Take a look at this.... Ooof... www.reddit.com/r/GTA/comments/qrhyb0/whats_up_with_this_mission_ive_done_it_3_times/Yeah, LCFR on LCS is wild! I usually listen to the chat shows when I play GTA, and this one is particularly non 2021 Also, with all the talk of Billie Jean, I completely forgot that I used normally flick when it came on because I knew it so well. It's WBSS is the bigger MJ casualty! Before Vice City, I always liked WBSS. After hearing it on the radio on Fever 105 every day, it became and absolute FAVOURITE. Also, the game is the reason I am such a huge Blondie fan also. Atomic was the most important song for me (plus keeping Debbie Harry's dialogue in tact)

So, I'm like half way through Voce City and so far:
Experienced NO major glitches in GTA III. Anything I encountered could very well have been in the PS2 game. Loved every minute. Experienced 1 pretty big glitch in VC where I had to look up how to complete a mission because the area where you stand (the pink marker) is a little weird. Went to the airport in VC and there was loads of traffic dribving erratically near the runway, which was odd.
Nothing unplayable so far, and I am so glad to say that going in with rock bottom expectations really helped. Loving it! The songs missing on VC are a shame, but you get over it after a while. Blondie's "Atomic" is there so that's all that matters.
Also I am getting so many more jokes than I did when I was 15/16.
I hear SA is a mess though. I hear you should keep saving using different slots as it is prone to corruption and NOT to depend on the autosave.

Playing Pathfinder: Kingmaker lately. I'm enjoying it a lot so far but there's a part early on where you can sleep at this camp, and when you wake up you need to fight an enemy that is impossible to beat at the low level you are at that moment, and it autosaves after you wake up, so unless you saved just before it then you're screwed. The designer who thought that was a good idea shouldn't be allowed to add anything to a game. I managed to beat it by turning the difficulty down and fighting it forever but still a stupid design decision.
Anyway, rant over.

Interesting fact (for us only, I'd imagine) but the version of Billie Jean on the PS2 version of Vice City from 2002 is actually the original album version, and not the single version that replaced it on all later pressings. I don't think this version was ever released outside of the original LP and early CD pressings.

Its such a weird thing, that actually sounds like a mistake more than anything. The synths at the bridge are way way quieter, but even more noticeable is there is no audible "oh no" after the "eyes look like mine" line. I was listening to the Flash FM track on Youtube and noticed it. mjofficialversions.blogspot.com/search/label/Billie%20Jean
