I think it can happen suddenly, Michael never looked old until about 2007, when he had his lips plumped up and they looked out of place. I think his haggard appearance was more due to the endless plastic surgeries, the wigs and his pallid ultra white appearance. To be honest from 2007 onwards, he just looked ghoulish.
Up to about 1995 he looked good and not aged at all. After that he started to look scary, but even at his trial he still was belying his age. I think aging is a part of human life and in my case it has happened to me, in the past year my hairline has receded and I have got significant patches of gray making me look much older than ever before. How nice.
I never understood why some people think they have the right to talk about anothers appearance in such a cruel and demeaning way. Please post a photo of yourself in this thread so we can criticise your appearance and maybe you'll think twice before doing it to others.
Well he did, and no, because I am not a global superstar, I should be able to make that statement without having to prove I am Adonis. I forgot the blind fan worship and imposed cult of personality on MJ sites.

I remember when he did the MTV interview in '99 and did the cover of TV Guide and was amazed how great he looked. I was REALLY disappointed he didn't continue that look going into 2000 and 2001 It showed me how much of a factor makeup and hair was in his appearance. It's why I wished Karen Faye had gotten her walking papers after HIStory lol Agreed! I loved this TV Guid cover and also the MTV interview. Would have loved if he had remained like that for the Invincible era. It seems everything that could go wrong went wrong during those years.
