Thriller reached 600 weeks on the Billboard 200 charts this week.
Late October and early November is usually the busiest time of the year for Michael. The King of Pop's single "Thriller" returns to the spotlight as it is one of the biggest hits associated with Halloween. Now, as the hype of the song wears off, Michael is still doing amazing things on the Billboard charts.
Thriller is now the tenth album in U.S. history to reach 600 weeks on the Billboard 200. Currently, the record for the most weeks album of all time on the Billboard 200 belongs to Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon (980 weeks).
Thriller may have enjoyed its annual boom in popularity, but that doesn't mean people stopped streaming and buying just because Halloween is over. The album rises from No. 105 to No. 63 on this week's Billboard 200. According to Luminate, just over 14,900 units were sold in the U.S. – incredible numbers that propelled the album into the Top 20 of the best-selling charts in America.

After 15 years, Michael Jackson won a new certificate of sale in Brazil. Love Never Felt So Good, the first single from the posthumous album Xscape, was certified 3x Platinum (equivalent to 180,000 copies) – according to Pro-Música Brasil. But there's still a lot to be done considering the King of Pop's record sales around the world.
The Guinness World Records lists Thriller as the best-selling international album of all time in Brazil (3.8 million copies) but Sony Music Brazil has not certified any albums. Michael also sold 2.8 million copies from 2003 to 2017, while the label has only certified 280,1991 copies since.

Michael Jackson Returns To Five Billboard Charts This Week Just weeks after reappearing on several Billboard charts with his annual Halloween smash "Thriller," Michael Jackson once again finds himself on several rankings. The legendary musician returns to five tallies this frame as millions stream one of his most beloved holiday smashes. Jackson and his brothers, together as the Jackson 5, reappear on a trio of Billboard song charts this week. On some of those tallies, they score one hit, but on one, they earn a pair of wins, proving their sustained popularity after many years. The sibling band performs best on the R&B Streaming Songs chart, where they claim two spots on the short list of the most-streamed tracks classified as R&B by Billboard. Back inside the top 10 is “Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town,” which lifts from No. 15, where it sat last week, to No. 9. The group also sees their other holiday hit, “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus,” reappear on the list at No. 13. “Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town” helps the Jackson 5 return to two other streaming-focused Billboard charts this week, as Americans get into the holiday spirit. The tune breaks back onto both the R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs and Streaming Songs rankings. The smash has already reached those tallies, but now it’s back once again. “Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town” opens at No. 14 on the former and No. 42 on the latter, which is more competitive, as it includes all genres. The surging streams that “Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town” has been racking up in the past few weeks have also helped the album it’s featured on return to two Billboard charts as well. All plays on that cut also push the full-length up the rankings, and enough listens of one cut can be enough to turn a title into a smash once again. The Jackson 5 Christmas Album reappears highest on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. On that ranking, it’s back at No. 29, and it will likely climb in the coming weeks. Over on the Billboard 200, the same project emerges at No. 88, shifting another 13,734 equivalent units in the past tracking period, according to Luminate. Jackson actually fills two spaces on both the Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts this week. His own Thriller is still going strong on both tallies, as it rarely departs either ranking. The title is up to No. 41 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and No. 114 on the Billboard 200. www.forbes.com/sites/hughmcintyre/2023/12/08/michael-jackson-returns-to-five-billboard-charts-this-week/?sh=3d41a45b33ce
