17 school children shot dead in Florida. How many have to die before America will reform their retarded gun laws?!

Frozen star Josh Gad is heartbroken and angry after finding out his friend's son died in Wednesday's school shooting in Florida. The 36-year-old actor revealed his grief on Twitter while calling for stricter gun laws and slamming Florida republican senator Marco Rubio for taking $3.3million in funding fromthe National Rifle Association. 'I am so angry tonight. I am so sad. Iโm putting my phone down because we are debating sensible gun laws again,' he posted on Wednesday night. 'A child of one of our friend's has a bullet in his chest & is critical condition because a 19 year old had access to a military weapon. Pretend itโs normal. Itโs not.' he added. Nikolas Cruz, 19, walked into Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Parkland, Florida on Wednesday and started shooting at students with an AR-15 rifle, killing 17 and injuring countless others.

I always wonder how those in other parts of the world react when they see news like this. If we here in the States are confused and outraged that this keeps happening, then I wonder how those who don't live here think

I don't understand America's obsession with guns and why this price that we see here (but this is just one of many examples) is not high enough for them to fix their gun laws. I really would not want people easily accessing guns here where I live. Sure, those who really want to, criminals can illegally access guns anyway, but not every mentally unstable person can easily access guns like in the USA. I know the American argument is that they need guns for self-defense, but whether that actually makes them safer is debatable. This diagram says it all.

If we here in the States are confused and outraged that this keeps happening, then I wonder how those who don't live here think As someone who lives in England, I think I can speak for the majority of Brits when I say that we are completely baffled by your gunlaws. It beggars belief that these attrocities keep happening time and time again and the US government aren't doing a single thing to change it. I also find it scary how many completely brainwashed trigger-happy Americans I have come across online. I don't care what the constitution says, the whole notion of a "right to bare arms" is backward and neanderthal imo. Only the army and the police should be allowed access to firearms. And even then, I wouldn't trust the police in the States to use them fairly and responsibly.

The NRA (National Rifle Association) hold so much power with politicians, it's mind boggling. We have had so many shootings and as soon as one happens AGAIN, here comes the NRA and it's paid politicians running to say "It's not about guns!". It pisses so many people off

All I know is, if I lived in America, I would be living in fear sending my child to school there.

Honestly all of the Republican politicians in Congress right now are fucking cowards. They send out generic (and frankly insulting) tweets that state the victims are 'in their thoughts and prayers' - because that's fucking helpful - and then forget about it until the next one happens at which point, the process restarts and they send out another generic tweet.
They then state "now is not the time to talk about gun control" but when the hell is it time? They never ever bring it up outside of these tragedies, and if they do it's simply to allow MORE gun control (just like how last year they made it legal for the mentally ill to purchase guns. Yup. You read that right). They state that to discuss the political side of this is offensive to those affected by the situation, yet you can see hundreds and hundreds of children on Twitter - many of whom saw their best friends be shot to death - crying out for the politicians to do their fucking job. Those politicians are the only type of people who can actually make a difference in this situation and yet they actively choose not to, all the while happily being bribed by the NRA to the tunes of millions (just see how many millions went to Trump's campaign).
It's honestly inspiring seeing so many teenagers standing up to their politicians on social media and calling them out on their shit. Teenagers getting massive attention online and through the media because they're actively calling out the President for his deplorable lack of action? Incredible. Walk outs and protests are even being planned at this point and by God, I hope they're a rocketing success. The lack of actions by the Republicans - who have had control of the house/senate this entire decade - is absolutely despicable and the very definition of pathetic.

I'm 30, and I remember Columbine, Virginia Tech....the list goes on I was just looking to see how many school shootings have happened since Columbine. 204....TWO HUNDRED AND FOUR CASES. The NRA spokesperson is on CNN right now doing a City Hall discussion and she's deflecting so much it borders on insulting
