I’m struggling to read books these days! I used to be an avid reader but I seem to not have time anymore to just sit with a cup or tea or coffee and read! I can’t seem to finish books anymore! Even books I’m hooked on, I struggle to finish them. When did life get so insanely hectic and fast paced?!

Liberian Girl is amazing, and devours about a book a week on average. I don't think I've read a book this year. I would blame fatherhood, but I didn't even find the time to read before that. I used to read a lot when I was younger and then working life took over and I work night shifts and am just perpetually in a state of exhaustion and catching up on sleep. I'm thinking of winning the lottery.

I'm thinking of winning the lottery. Same as me mate! I feel you. It’s hard in our line of work and we’re always drained of energy from the constant exhaustion. A book a week! I remember those days!

Pretty soon we’ll be the only ones in a job! There’s not gonna be much left unless you fancy a cashiers job in Morrison’s? What we should do is open a record shop, sit around in it all day playing albums, chatting shit and drinking coffee. There’s not much need for a record shop in this day and age but why the hell should that stop us?! I want to sell VHS and tape cassettes aswell!

It's my vanity project for when I win the lottery (seeing as it is so not a viable business model and would likely go bankrupt in a month if you approached it as a serious money making endeavour). Customers would only be an unwanted nuisance anyway. Although you want the occasional one just to show off how cool your taste in music is by forcing them to listen to whatever you decide to play in the shop.

We’ll leave MattyJam junior run around the shop and he’ll grow up in it having listened to all our favourite albums and musical banter chat! And TonyR and Innuendo are barred from entering the property!

I think the reason the idea appeals to me so much is because it's a surefire way of forcing the music I love on other people. Not that I have form for that or anything.....

What we calling this place? Matty’s Music? Or do you have something else in mind? I’ll probably be extremely OCD and have to have every single MJ and Prince albums ever released constantly in stock. We’ll need a glass cabinet and counter for storing extremely rare albums and expensive box sets. A decent PA system of amp and speaks, a vinyl and double cd decks with a mixer, and a kettle. I’d love a jukebox and vintage Coke or Pepsi vending machine too for the look. Some vintage rock and pop posters in frames and at least one wall should be brick with neon signs.

This sounds like the place of my dreams. I wouldn't stock any Justin Timberlake on principle. Mazzaabb Music should be the name.

In fact anyone with a JT or JB t-shirt will be denied entry. Mazzaabb Music sounds sublime!

This totally sounds like a viable business model during a global pandemic.

This totally sounds like a viable business model during a global pandemic. I think leaving our current positions should come into effect immediately. I’ll drive down to London and we’ll start by selling a few secondhand cds from the boot of my car. We’ll build up to eventually renting a property in London. We won’t worry about money right now and we should find a place that’s pretty reasonable in the heart of the capital of the U.K. for a reasonable price because it’s so affordable in London.
