Twitter is just vile.
RIP JK Rowling is trending. How can this be okay? Why can someone not have a differing opinion?
Why would someone think they are taking the moral high ground by wishing her death??

Why would someone think they are taking the moral high ground by wishing her death?? They have been harassing and bullying Rowling for months now. That's "trans activism" in 2020 for you.

A lot of the JK stuff she has definitely brought on herself. When you say things that are clearly transphobic and then try to walk around it you're gonna get called a transphobe. She is also clueless when it comes to her position in society and the influence she has. Have you seen what her new book is about? Give me a break! I also don't think the rip thing is to be taken literally. Rip is used differently online nowadays it doesn't mean you actually want someone to die.

I haven't read the book so I'm not gonna judge it based on what people who are not without bias in this debate say about it. Plus, is the villain an actual trans person or a cis man who cross dresses? Because I have seen both claims by these trans activists but only one of those can be true. And they should know best the two aren't the same. What's next? Ban Silence of the Lambs, Psycho etc because the villain cross dresses? My problem is there's no nuance allowed by these SJWs these days, they put the "phobe" label on anyone who doesn't completely subscribe to their ideology. As far as I see she comes from a place to protect female spaces as a feminist. Which is a discussion we absolutely must have in a world where women's rights are getting a setback because of trans activists. Male bodied individuals competing in women's sports, getting allowed into women's spaces like locker rooms (where often young girls are present), if a biologically male criminal claims to be a trans he will be put in women's jail and rape already happened because of such cases etc etc. Maybe people should actually listen to women's complaints about these situations as well before putting the "phobe" or TERF label on them to silence them.
ETA: Here is a little background to her book from someone on LSA forums.
And this I also agree with:

Let me quote for example, from the program of one of the current US presidential candidates, Joe Biden. This is actually so much in priority for him that he promises to do this on his very first day in office!
Since declared gender identity doesn't require gender confirmation surgery, this means that people with penises will be allowed to go into women's bathrooms and locker rooms - again, with often young girls being in those spaces as well. And "access to sports" mean that this will be allowed to spread all across the board:
What do you think will happen to women's sports on the mid- and long term then? Where can then biological women go to have a fair chance?
People should see the whole picture of where Rowling is coming from. A lot of these measures trans activists push directly hurt biological women. If we want to go there: born males asserting their male privilege over born females (all this usually comes from transwomen who tend to be a lot more aggressive than transmen). And children too. She also talked about children transitioning. Before one criticizes her for that, watch this, for example:

(BTW, Rose of Dawn is a transwoman herself.)

This is absolute madness! Erasing women of the equation on purpose being referred as "people who menstruate" was the reason why JK started to point out that that biological sex is real and must not be erased either to suit extremists agendas and as well as the reason she was lambasted as transphobe.
I may be wrong on this point but creating a murderer male character who cross dresses doesn't make JK transphobic either. If people are truly trans they must have gender dysphoria, they're not like Jonathan/Jessica Yaniv who only dresses as a woman to pass as trans.

Another example of why JK is speaking up.

Like I said, JK wants to be transphobic without being called a transphobe. Don't know what world she lives in but it's clearly not this one. I can't believe that you guys don't see how ridiculous this book is. She has only written it as a response to the outrage she rightfully generated. She has posted plenty of clearly transphobic stuff and then tried to walk her away around it and also liked many transphobic tweets. People didn't just start calling her it for a laugh.

I can't believe that you guys don't see how ridiculous this book is. She has only written it as a response to the outrage she rightfully generated. Maybe you missed the post where it was stated she has long had this idea for a book. Before all the controversy. And putting the "phobe" label on everyone who doesn't 100% embrace a certain ideology will only result in it losing its meaning. Kind of like calling everyone a nazi who is not on the far left.
And I don't agree that she "rightfully" generated the outrage. I wish nuanced conversations could be conducted about these issues.
Another transwoman.

Transphobes often tell you to interpret what they're saying another way so that they don't have to wear the label. She has liked various obviously transphobic tweets and the stuff she has said is plainly transphobic. I'm not going to jump through hoops to find some other meaning in what she's saying when it's obvious what she means
