Who would you choose as the prime remixer of Michael Jackson songs. Who can add the most unnecessary drum loops, drum machines, add sound effects. How about toasting and having Nicki Minaj or Cardi B come in and jazz it up with a couple of verses about how much of a boss bitch they are. Or how about weezy telling us howgangsta he is, or Lil Pump to say how he is smoking mandrax, shrooms, endo, cocaine and dirty sanchez all at once over a classic MJ beat. Just think how these ultra talented gods of music, push all those buttons and say fuck to turn a good song into a piece of high art rivalling Mozart's requiem mass, because some guy grunting the F word is considered better than an intricately woven symphony.
Your answer could change the hypeness of music
PS: This is a joke thread

Nick*, Single White Glove have have done better remixes than any of the officially released ones because they don't utterly destroy Michael's songs, most DJs just murder them. If they're not going to respect the original melodies, they should leave his music alone. Of course there are a few exceptions from people who may not be necessarily fans who did an excellent job reworking/remixing his songs like one.

If you're talking about contemporizing his music, I say leave it well alone. Even when you draft in the original producers who worked on the songs with MJ, the results are often underwhelming. Look at what Rodney Jerkins did to Xscape - the original version was far, far superior.

I am amazed someone actually chose a remixer. The words "Joke thread" meant nothing?

I quite like remixes, I like that they provide interesting new perspectives on songs but I don't have particular producers in mind.
I haven't voted on the actual poll but I've enjoyed work by all the remixers on that list - Pitbull excluded. Although Pitbull shouldn't count because he hasn't remixed anything by Michael, he just provided guest vocals for Afrojack's remix.

Frankie Knuckles was a genius at remixing. He passed away a few years ago unfortunately. I wish he had done more remixes for MJ in the 90s
These days, a lot of remixes just add pointless synths, drum machines and follow the same generic EDM cliches so a lot of the mainstream DJs that everyone knows are out of the question.
My choices? SingleWhiteGlove and Nick* of course The Reflex Dimitri From Paris (I'm shocked he and Reflex haven't been contacted. Sony and Philadelphia International let him do a collection of remixes of a lot of the Philly Soul songs and they turned out great, but he doesn't use elements that weren't already recorded for the songs. He seems to take the original multitrack and does reinterpretations) Joey Negro Original Dodger Pomo I can see Kaytranada doing some great remixes Sam Sparro David Morales

I would have said Timabland if his remixes on Xscape weren't so bland.

The original people who worked on the songs. Using Michael's written notes and any ideas he may have had to try and finish the songs the way he wanted. This is all in my magical dream land where the estate respect MJ as an artist, of course.

I am not interested in remixes, but if the Estate wants remixes then only already known songs, not unreleased songs. Those should be released as MJ intended them like Smoothgangsta said.
As for old songs, the only reason I see for remixes is some kind of remix competition for fans. And then they could perhaps give the best ones some sort of exposure. It would serve as mobilizing the fandom and bring a little excitement. But otherwise I never really cared for remixes.

They've made lots of good stuff, I'd be down to see their interpretation of a MJ song for sure.

I hate how singlewhiteglove presents his remixes as official on youtube. Very annoying.

John Luongo, who remixed tracks from Destiny and Triumph back in the day. His main area was disco I think. I'm just imagining his take on Superfly Sister and BOTDF...*mouth watering*

I love a good remix when it's done the right way. It can breath new life into a song and even bring you back to a track you went off or never cared for much.
Nick* is pure quality and always keeps it within the basic framework as does SingleWhiteGlove. I implore any fan to listen to their remixes. You can't listen to their remixes and not enjoy them. Alot of their remixes are like really incredible 12inch extended dance mixes.
