One of the breakdancers performed to PYT aswell. Funny if i didnt go on twitter or here i wouldnt know. You can bet the MSM would be beating on about it if other certain artists were getting so much love by the athletes That was Salif who is a street dancer known to do MJ routines. I don't think he and his partner were a part of the competition but were rather hired to entertain during breaks. I have seen them earlier during fencing breaks as well. Thanks for clarifying. It was very MJ

Captain EO is now officially a part of the Star Wars universe.
Dreaming a bit but how cool it would be if Captain EO himself made a cameo in Star Wars? If they could resurrect Carrie Fisher with AI...

If they could resurrect Carrie Fisher with AI... It's always kind of been a fun head-canon of mine that Captain EO actually takes place in the Star Wars universe and the magic that EO uses is actually Jedi force abilities. The fact that it's potentially canon for real now is... awesome but also like, I thought of it first. XD

"Skeleton Crew tells a coming-of-age story about four children who make a discovery on their home planet, get lost in the galaxy, and go on an adventure to get back home." Hmm... Who's to say if one of them won't be Captain EO? Would be so cool. Even if MJ doesn't play EO this time. But the prospect of making EO an official SW character somehow makes me excited. SW fans seem excited about the prospect too.

Here's the trailer BTW. I really don't think it's far fetched that the little black kid will turn out to be EO. There are several characters which seem from Captain EO.
Now I'm interested. LOL.

I was at a huge dance showcase not too long ago and it featured two MJ tributes, one set to Smooth Criminal and the other to TDCAU. The former was part of a segment in which the dancers paid tribute to 'icons'. They played an introductory video for each icon and in MJ's video one of the first things that was shown was a headline saying "acquitted on all counts." This segment got the most enthusiastic response from the crowd of everything that took place that night (and there was a lot of excellent dancing). Everyone seemed totally into it and there was no odd 'mixed reception' vibe in the air at all. And this was not an audience that knew they were going to an MJ thing, as the segments were not advertised beforehand. Wonderful to experience.

One can only dream it may be about Eo but it will be nice enough the characters are officially part of the Star Wars lore in case it's not an origin story of him.

At Justin Timberlake last week there was a DJ supporting him who played a mix of 80’s and 90’s tracks. He was constantly asking the crowd “Any fans of Whitney? Any TLC fans? Salt N Peppa fans?” etc. When he asked “Have we got any Michael Jackson fans?” It got by far and away the biggest loudest reaction and then he dropped Don’t Stop Til’ You Get Enough. The reaction was unanimous! Heck, it was universal!
