I have just finish a restoration of Ghosts.
I would have liked it to be on YouTube, as reminder, I didn't want to upload it myself as I have a non-MJ YouTube channel and don't want to take the risk of uploading MJ stuff there, so I contacted a channel that is already doing MJ audio/video restorations, but YouTube blocked the video in all countries.
So the best thing I can offer is a VK link uploaded by a Russian contact from some MJ forum:

I will update if I get better.
Why I started this restoration project
I was usually disappointed by existing Ghosts (long version) "remasters" because they usually come with a lot of promises and then mostly offer all kind of over-processed images.
What to expect from this restoration
I want to avoid over-processing in the first place.
Image noise removal and some sharpening (a major difficulty here is to find a right balance).
Regarding colours:
- I used PAL LaserDisc as reference.
- It was not always possible to tend towards the actual colours of the LaserDisc for both skins and atmosphere, hence I also gave priority to preserving continuity between scenes.
- Expect a blue atmosphere that is close to the initial "Ghosts" atmosphere.
- I also paid attention to skin tone "realism" (keeping the blue atmosphere in mind), as I think this is one the most important aspects when colour grading images with people in them.
4K upscale, but please read further section about this.
Some scratches and film damage removal, but not all of them though as that would require too much work.
No T.V. logo.
Good sound source, not pushed too far.
Iβve really tried to give every sequence its own treatment if I thought that it could bring improvement in more or less reasonable time.
What NOT to expect from this restoration
No miracles. The source * used for this restoration is likely the best detailed version of "Ghosts" we have out there but it is far from being flawless (...)
No claim that this an actual "4K UHD HQ remaster" etc. while this is using a Full HD source that's already been used by various restorations.
No claim that this is a remaster at all, I obviously do not own a "master" copy, so this is a "restoration" in a very broad sense.

* This restoration uses WOWOW's (Japanese T.V.) broadcast as source for image and "Ghosts" PAL LaserDisc as source for sound. It also uses font "LTC Pabst W01 Oldstyle" (by http://www.onlinewebfonts.com).
I want to add that I did not target Halloween, it's just randomly ready this week :-)
