As a woman following a black man, Clinton had to be impeccable. She wasn't. It doesn't matter that she was a million times more on point than DumbFuck Trump. Like Obama, she would have to come scandal free to be on par with Don The Con.
It's a sad fact that when you are a white male, you're given a pass. I just never realized how BIG that pass was. ๏ฟผ

Honestly, I thought they were both horrible candidates and very unfit. It still blows my mind to this day how those two even got as far as they did. Americans' heads were too far up their asses this last election. What on earth...we can do better than that. There was no winning here, in my opinion. It came down to two sucky candidates and you just had to pick one or go with the third party vote.... or Harambe. Yeah.

It was definitely a case of voting for the least worst contestant. While I'm not a huge fan of Hillary, she is fuckin EONS better than the buffoon Americans have in the White House right now... or should I say away from the White House on his 48th golfing trip in just 6-7 months after taking office?
I think there's lots of factors in why Trump won, I mean there's whole books being written on it as we speak.

You are all avoiding the elephant in the room. Trump lost the election but still became president. No proper democracy does that. Trump got 46% of the vote, Hillary got 48% and others like Jill Stein etc got 6%.
Yet that institution of pale male oligarchy called the "Electoral College" chose Trump over Hillary, so they chose the President, not the people, a democracy people choose the leader not some upper house legislation reminescent of the Council of Ephors in Sparta (For the uneducated, please google it).
Also you Americans are to blame for not voting, 52% voting rate, I mean for real, and you can't all blame racism and lack of access to a voting station. Unless you live in Snowsdurval, Alaska or on the 49th parallel in North Dakota, nowhere was so snowed in you could not vote. My guess is a large proportion of the non voters would have voted Hillary or a 3rd party candidate. I can understand some people were so opposed to both major candidates, but still you could have voted someone like Jill Stein, or chosen Hillary just so Trump would not have got in. I do agree, that both were shitty and Trump was a -1/10 candidate, whereas Hillary was at least a 3/10 candidate.
