It's so hard to pick just three when he's done so many great ones. But three I'm continually amazed by to this day are:
1. Ghosts 2. TDCAU Brazil version 3. Smooth Criminal
But then I also love Scream, TDCAU prison version, YRMW full-length, Bad full-length, In The Closet, Earth Song.

Oh God, what a question. Ghosts would definitely be number one, as I think it's the greatest thing he ever did. After that, it's almost impossible to pick. There's the ones that everyone agrees are brilliant like Thriller, Smooth Criminal, TDCAU Brazil, BorW and Scream. And then there's the ones that fans know are just as great such as In The Closet, TDCAU prison, YRMW, Who Is It, BOTD, Ghosts, Earth Song etc. My second favourite after Ghosts is probably Smooth Criminal. It's just gotta be in everyones top 3, surely? It's the quintessential MJ video really. I'm gonna be controversial for my third choice and pick YRMW. I genuinely love it, the humour, the dancing, the way it's shot, how ridiculously OTT the whole thing is. Plus I haven't pissed TonyR off in a while.

Come on people, stop taking Thriller for granted.
Smooth Criminal (the best thing he ever did) Ghosts (the best thing he ever did) Thriller (the best thing he ever did)
Having said that, I don’t count Ghosts as a video really as it’s three songs.

My favorite always will be 'BAD'. And right up there with it would be 'Leave Me Alone.' I remember watching them both the first time-laughed so hard during 'Leave Me Alone' and I was so proud of Michael for still having a sense of humor after all he had been going through-I re-wound it and watched it over and over-it was hysterical. And Beautiful.
Had a hard time deciding between 'Beat It' and 'Thriller.' I love them both so-every minute of both are perfection to me-he's beautiful, the costumes, the sets, the choreography, the music. I finally went with 'Thriller' because the playful sexual chemistry between him and Ola is just off the charts.

For me, I would pick: Thriller - Truly revolutionary and still cool asf to this day. Shame on y'all for not recognising the greatness of this video! Smooth Criminal -Like Matty said, its the quintessential MJ video <iframe width="10.740000000000009" height="6.439999999999998" style="position: absolute; width: 10.740000000000009px; height: 6.439999999999998px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none;left: 15px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_82515839" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="10.740000000000009" height="6.439999999999998" style="position: absolute; width: 10.74px; height: 6.44px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 490px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_88935359" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="10.740000000000009" height="6.439999999999998" style="position: absolute; width: 10.74px; height: 6.44px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 260px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_54525942" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="10.740000000000009" height="6.439999999999998" style="position: absolute; width: 10.74px; height: 6.44px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 490px; top: 260px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_625113" scrolling="no"></iframe> Remember The Time - Great song with an equally great video. Brilliant use of celebrity cameos, MJ and Iman have great chemistry, it has amazing choreography and is just the right mix of light hearted, cheeky, fun and utterly, utterly cool.

Not the 40 minute film which has multiple songs in it. At that point you might as well consider Moonwalker haha.

1. Smooth Criminal, this is a complete masterpiece and even now still seems timeless
2. Beat It, the dance off sequences and bad ass attitude made me a fan, plus it was his first true big budget masterpiece made as a new minted superstar.
3. Billie Jean, amazed no one has chosen it yet. This video made the legend, the dancing, his look, the light up shoes and footpath, plus the fact it ended the segregation at MTV and opened the door for all Black artists mean this video is a must include. It also helps it is a darn fine song too.

I am shocked Scream only got two votes (while YRMW got four - really, guys?). Scream is such an underrated video. It is phenomenal! The cinematography. The fact that it is absolutely timeless - you could release it today and not only it would not look dated, but it it would still look groundbreaking today (if MJ hadn't already made it in 1995). That's how great it is! Then the fantastic dance breaks AND the many artistic/cultural references in it. It's an absolutely phenomenal video. Fans should appreciate it more.
I voted: Smooth Criminal, Scream and Beat It.

I don't think it is either a better song or a better video. Scream expresses rough anger as it should with its industrial sound, so it is less easily accessible as YRMW, but to me it is a better song too.
