I quite like the YRMW video, but you're right, it's not as good as Scream. Better song though. I don't think it is either a better song or a better video. Scream expresses rough anger as it should with its industrial sound, so it is less easily accessible as YRMW, but to me it is a better song too. I've never been that fussed on Scream (the song). The video is indeed a masterpiece, but the song? I can't help but feel like it's a bit.. dare I say, tuneless? Whereas YRMW has hooks for days. But YRMW should definitely not be winning any awards for his best video, as it's not even in the same league as Scream or any of the HIStory and Dangerous era music videos for that matter.

Smooth Criminal Bad Thriller
I don't place Ghosts in the same category. It's 40 minutes long and incorporates multiple songs so it has an unfair advantage. But it's one of the best things he's ever done.

Smooth Criminal Black Or White Bad
Surprised that no one voted for BoW yet! MJ seamlessly incorporating various dance steps from all over the world, the morphing effect, the colorful imagery that still looks surprisingly fresh today - it all just fit the song perfectly. And then there's the incredible panther scene, featuring some of his best dancing ever, to cap it off.
It's hard not to include Thriller, as it was so groundbreaking (and awesome), but he managed to outdo himself later in his career imo. While not as spectacular as his dance videos, I've also always had a soft spot for the SiM video - the depiction of loneliness through the slow mo effect was really well done.

I remember watching the debut of BOW on TV on Top Of The Pops in November of 91. It blew me away. Because I hadn't really seen him since the Bad era, and my first thought was that he looked incredible, fresh vibrant and healthy. And the video was mind blowing on first viewing. Such a collage of colour and idea's, different scenes and cultures. I chose Thriller because I feel the more it age's the better it gets. I love the way the entire first half of it slowly builds towards that first MJ Zombie reveal and chours. The Hitchcock camera pan on the girl gives me chills. The way her world closes in around her seen through the camera lense and then we see MJ as a zombie with that loud horror music and do that iconic choreography with the zombies. When I watch Thriller -which isn't very often- I feel it's the best he ever done it's that good. I really hope the estate puts this out to the fans next year. They gave a very limited run in America only, when MJ's fans are waiting in every corner of the world. I was very disappointed when it failed to screen over here. Come on MJ estate/sony! Get your act together for 2019 please!

For me, that moment when MJ is descending down those steps from the 1st floor as the chorus is playing is unbelievable. The way it's shot and synchronised to just when the Annie are ok's kick in is so powerful.
