Hmmmm, this seems to confirm many of my misgivings about Taj's docu-series. Yeah, it's gonna be a total puff-piece.

Is it so important to interview people who watched him perform in a music video for a few minutes? Ok, so MJ made it a point to film in a poor part of the country and be amongst the people - I get it. Has he interviewed anybody other than T-Mez yet? Maybe get on the ground and start doing some work before talking about flying to Brazil and interviewing people that were in a music video for a documentary that will be coming out in 2030. I'm sure if he just interviewed Spike Lee that would be sufficient if he absolutely had to cover that trip for some reason.

Hmmmm, this seems to confirm many of my misgivings about Taj's docu-series. I've never said anything negative about what Taj is trying to do as it seems his intentions are good, but this reads like 'I'mma gonna use these donations for a nice trip to Brazil.'

Taj has suggested he's not using donations to fund any trip to Brazil to another fan who felt the same way. https:///SusieGotUNumber/status/1416800600252108803

Given that Olodum was made up of kids I can see him including/interviewing them as a positive example of Michael being around kids. Although, he could've just done a Skype call with them or something. >.>

It seems as time goes on I am further losing any hope that Taj will be able to make a focused doc without acting like his uncle was the greatest thing alive.

It seems as time goes on I am further losing any hope that Taj will be able to make a focused doc without acting like his uncle was the greatest thing alive. It was a lost cause from the beginning which is why I never donated. Just because he's a Jackson it doesn't mean he's any more qualified than any random off the street to make a hard hitting documentary and the fact that he's related only makes it more hard for him to be taken seriously. I wish he could see that by making it about MJ the humanitarian and MJ the superstar, it's just not going to resonate with non-fans the same as if he had focused solely on the allegations, which is the direction he should've gone if he wanted to make any real impact.

I think he wants to make it the definitive MJ documentary. In a way I can't blame him because it doesn't look like anybody else has any interest in stepping up to the plate. Realistically though, I think Taj is just a dreamer who is all talk and little action. In his head I'm sure he thinks he's going to make the documentary, but I don't believe he has the drive to actually do the work.

But I don't believe it's going to have any kind of impact outside fan circles and I wouldn't be surprised if it was very low quality.

Taj said in streams he doesn't call this project a "documentary". Not anymore. It sounds like it will be more about Michael being a humanitarian and a good guy. People learning about Michael as a person, so they can watch this and say "He would never do that"
Which is not enough imho. But I feel like we can't expect more at this point. I'm also hoping for the best and wish Taj all the best for the project.
I hope it will still have some useful information and it's not too cheesy.

It's basically gonna be a glorified fanmade youtube documentary. Which is not what I think a lot of people donated money for.
