I donated yesterday, only a small amount but I cannot really afford anything else and I'm not going to donate a lot to something which I feel will probably never actually reach its goal.

I put $20 in because that's all I can afford for now. I had to do it though. It was a "put your money where your mouth is" situation for me. I'm always bitching about how I wish someone would get the real truth out there and here's my chance to contribute to getting that done. Yes, $20 is a drop in the bucket but it's what I can afford currently and it's something at least. Yeah, it would feel wrong not to donate at least something. If there's a chance this could be reality then I feel I should contribute.

Maybe nothing will come out of it, or maybe what will come out of it will be a waste, but at least we try.

I will donate if Jackson family members donate and the estate! And if they don’t, I ain’t donating shit! Fair. And even then, if the Jackson Estate get involved, no-one should need to cough up. They’re the ones who consistently make tens, if not hundreds of millions off this man every year, they’re the ones who should be behind this documentary. Even if you approach it solely like a business, this is an investment to help protect the public perception of their brand. I totally understand the Streisand effect and that they want to avoid the allegations, but you honestly can’t with Michael Jackson at this point. Making a masterfully produced docu-series dedicated to the defense of Michael Jackson could have a strong and rightfully positive impact on Michael Jacksons name, both personally and as a brand. Thank you! This is all a matter of principle. There is a fundamental truth here bring ignored by the gatekeepers of MJ's legacy. I'll happily donate 100 dollars if Janet, Jermain, LaToya and The Estate get on board. I'm annoyed with the fact the Estate are business as usual and fobbing the fanbase off with "we're going to focus on the music!" It's their usual get out of jail card. No. This elephant in the room cannot be ignored any longer. This feels like it's finally time to clear up decades of slander, allegations, rumours, innuendos etc. The constant abuse and trolling we've dealth with over the years is for what? What other fanbase has had to put up with the stigma and smirks and looks that we have?! This feels like it might be a moment in time. If it was MY brother or sister I'd pay for the entire project if it meant I'd spend the rest of my life paying back the loan. How many years now has MJ been the top earning deceased artist? 8, 9, 10?? Janet! Where TF is Janet at?? Janet had a bigger recording contract in 90's than MJ and recently divorced a billionaire! If she doesn't support this I'm going to just come out and say "I cannot stand her any longer!"

Don't know though, maybe I could be wrong

Does anyone know what he is referring to? I don't know, but unless these allies are willing to cough up the bucks, then it's all irrelevant anyway....

My guess, one is the Estate.

He should just say who it is, maybe someone like Netflix could get involved which would lead to more credibility.

Donated too. Its a pretty big goal, but like most have said, its time for some people to pay back the person that earned them a lot of money. Jacksons, Estate - cheque book!

To be honest I'm finding it hard to believe he even really needs THAT much money to put a good documentary together. I mean... look at the 30 min doc Respect77 was involved in - how great was that? And that obviously didn't require 700,0000 quid. Don't get me wrong - to do a glossy, professional show that involves lots of travel, research and promotion will cost big money...just not convinced it needs to be THAT much. Wonder if Taj will be paying bills and mortgages as his "expenses" whilst working on it.

Well he now reckons that he's doing a series and will cover not only the allegations but will be the main priority. I personally think he should just stay on topic of the allegations, and if a series something like Netflix's 'Making a murderer' format.

I read on another forum that a high quality documentary, especially a series, can easily cost up to $1 million. Now, the question to me is rather if Taj has the abilities and knowledge to do such a high quality documentary.
