The hard thing for me is I'm reluctant to post much about Michael's innocence on my personal FB timeline as I don't want to trigger a good friend of mine who's an abuse survivor herself and pretty big into the whole "believe all victims, no matter what" movement. She's the kind of person who will call you out if she's offended by something, she's pretty SJW-ish. Luckily I haven't seen her post anything specifically about Michael, but she's posted a lot about R Kelly and believing alleged victims in general, so I'd be honestly shocked if she wouldn't take Wade and Safechuck's side. I want to support Michael, but I also don't wanna be startin' somethin'(see what I did there...) when I'm already in a rough patch, recovering from a heated debate with some friends over a completely different political issue and struggling with depression.

It's made Facebook as of last night for me, and I was tagged once. I see it's now made the main Irish newspaper site (when you type Michael Jackson into google and all those stories come up). Yeah, everything seems very 50/50 to be honest, just like 03. Feeling better myself. Listened to Xscape there a while ago. The song. How did you respond to the tag? I'd actually probably be annoyed if someone tagged me in it, just because of the public nature of it all and depending on who it was, I feel they'd be baiting me. It hasn't happened for many years now, but closer to high school I remember some morons trying to start crap in my private messages. It doesn't surprise me though, I actually did a 7 minute speech on him in Year 11 English that ripped apart the then-two allegations against him. It got a really good response, my teacher actually said he wished he recorded that (he was recording some speeches) and a girl in another class came up to me and said they really enjoyed my speech which made me feel pretty good. Anyways, I digress.
I'm glad you're feeling better. I've found myself quite drawn to his aggressive songs recently - I was blasting my Michael Jackson playlist in the car today and Unbreakable came on. Sung along loudly! (Though to be fair, I was singing along loudly to every other song too heh).
When out and about today I also wore my Michael Jackson Bad Tour t-shirt - and proudly I might add. I don't care what lies these utter scumbags spread about him, it's not going to stop me showing off my love for him!

I go between depressed (not clinically, just as in sad) and combative and upset. I see fans say how it is over for MJ's legacy and all, but I don't think it is over until the fat lady sings.

Was thinking whilst at the gym this morning....(I'll let you imagine what that looks like)...
I don't think there's an appetite to whitewash MJ out of HIStory, too much people have a lot to lose. Imagine if there was a #mute... campaign (I couldn't bring myself to type the full thing there)..
All the historic chart shows on radio & TV lose 'half' their 80's / 90's output, songs that have sampled him...
This isn't like removing Gary Glitter or even R Kelly from musical history with a handful of well known songs. I'm sure the industry doesn't want some of the best selling albums of all time including the #1 to be tainted & removed.
I know this isn't the main reason why he should be vindicated (his innocence is) but it's food for thought.

Especially in the R&B world and he’s written for just about everyone

And I'm being comparable to MJ where his songs are ingrained into everyday pop culture & the psyche of every music lover.

So this is where the little clique hang out then? Wasn't this board originally created to avoid such behaviours as on MJJC?

To say it's over is a bit dramatic. Because of a documentary? They haven't even seen it yet!! He's still innocent, no matter how many documentaries they make to try and "prove" otherwise. We know that, the estate knows it, and if they really wanted they could do a lot more, and probably would if it came to the point to where it's over. Nothing can bring him down in this case, I simply don't believe that. He's too big of an icon for that. Especially since he hasn't done anything wrong

I've been out and about today at work and I saw it on the front top right hand corner of one paper and surprisingly I felt ok with it. Just another day in the life of being an MJ fan. Hope everyone is feeling ok today.

Many of us on here have known eachother a long time and forged friendships/in-jokes etc. I do want this board to be all inclusive and I think it's unfair to call it cliquey. Seems more a case of you throwing toys out of the pram just because TonyR called you out on being anti-semetic.

Seems to have eased up today anyways, apart from that new story about the German bollocks.
I had a 15 mile run today and ill be honest, I didnt really face listening to any music. I normally dont, but today i felt i needed something to accompany me so i just went with an audiobook. Wont lie, still thought of the whole unpleasantness every once in a while.
Tomorrow is the start of a new week though. Some sites will have held off for a Monday scoop. Im looking forward to a busy day at work to distract me.

I never ever share my music... I wrote and recorded this the week after MJ died. I took the name This Is It and just wrote from his point of view, about how he might have decided to reclaim his throne by announcing the This Is It Tour, and putting all the shit behind him. I'm no singer, but every note was inspired by the man. I recorded this in my garage still in shock I guess. 10 years later I'm glad I wrote it because it's evolved for me now. Hope you enjoy it a bit. I only have the courage to share with you now. Listen to This Is It by Nigel Carroll #np on #SoundCloud soundcloud.com/innuendo141/this-is-itEdit - I forgot my dodgy Tina Turner State of Shock cover is on there. Comic relief folks.

I’m a good 50% more positive already. if this would have been late 90s or 2000s it would be front page news everywhere. it’s barely made a mark. And I don’t think it’ll get much more traction when on C4. Yes the tweets will start again, but I don’t think media coverage will increase.
For now, I’m okay.
