This made me smile. I hope ye have a brilliant night. I'm really glad to hear it made you smile  We did a similar gathering for Prince on the one year anniversary of his passing. We always observe Michael's passing every year, but I didn't want to throw a big dedicated party until the 10 year mark. We had a REALLY good turn out for the Prince gathering and it's looking like we'll have quite a few people for Michael. I made a YouTube playlist and I'm going to place a TV somewhere downstairs so we can run his videos on mute while we spin his albums. Should be a great night honoring our friend  |

Anyway, I think this is a good news story. My friends got married at the start of May in Portugal, and had like 180 guests travel over for an amazing few days in Paradise. Gorgeous wedding in the Algarve. When it came to the DJ section, we were obviously all well on the sauce at this point and low and behold.... Billie Jean. Usually my friends grab me and I do the whole dance. I wont lie and say I wondered if he would be played. Anyway, I did the dance and A FULL CIRCLE formed around me. Ive never ever seen myself do Billie Jean, but i know I do it at least quite decent... but the crowd were going BANANAS for it. No turned up noses. I heard later loads of people filmed it (I never wasnt to see it) and people kept coming up to me for the night... All good. The other night, my friend told me that at the start, the DJ was absolutely NOT playing Michael Jackson. No chance. They guys managed to persuade him and Im glad I helped shove the fucking song DOWN his throat by getting the crowd completely into it. Billie Jean, bitch. |

More "Regular" news than good news. Hadn't been to Golden Discs in Limerick in months. All is in order on both the vinyl and cd front. MJ was on top for both when I got in. The state of the prices of the picture discs still. 60 for HIStory! You'd be better off just saving a bit more for an OP!  |
