But then you listen to Disc 2. Something for everyone surely? Personally, I prefer Disc 1, even as an MJ purist (except DYKWYCA). Complaining about Xscape just because you don't like remixes is like.... ...well, I can't think of an analogy right now. I'll be back. See, you've completely missed my last point. I said above I do like remixes, and I'd be open to remixes. Xscape wasnt sold as a remix project. It was sold a "contemporised" or "finished" versions things. I saw one or two videos where Timbaland gave off the impression he had hard work to do given the state of some of the songs. I've hated Timbalands work and sound since the first time I heard him so I knew Id have trouble swallowing the pill. Unfortunately I choked on it I said I'd be well open to remixes. It's just down to taste for me. Xscape is unlistenable. The songs on Michael sound much better (while not particularly being better songs). I'd take a million BOTDF style jobs than 1 more Xscpaeouwedvqeibdqw# what a stupid fucking song title!!!!! The first 4 letters are right beside each other on the keyboard making it annoying to spell. Like I said, anchovies. I ignored all the contemprised marketing bullshit, and took it for what it was. A bunch of demos that were near completion and then the same songs remixed or finished off as the producer saw them. Take APWNN for example. Two great versions of a great song. The original cool, laid back, guitar led version where you imagine his jeep has broken down in a desert, and the remixed dance version which also works really well, where I see him broken down in a more futuristic, space environment (this is just in my head). But I agree, the most annoying thing is the title as Xscape does not work either said out loud or written down.

EDIT: I've got it, complaining about the remixes on Xscape is like being given a free pizza with the one you purchased, and the free pizza has anchovies on it when you don't like anchovies. Just eat your original pizza that you do like and give the other one away. There you go. No. Complaining about songs I dont like on Xscape is like complaining about songs I don't like full stop. Simple as that. Thats like saying "Well he got disc 2 so he cant say anything about disc one". Place with no name is hilariously bad. Edit: Ive no time for debating Xscape. Its shite. Next person please. Well. How rude.

Dont take it personally. Its all for LOVE. Michael is an angel I know. But you preferring the BOTDF remixes to Xscape does mean I've lost 4% of respect for you. I nearly compared it to Matty's putting Bad under Invincible but that wouldn't be fair.

In my universe Matty has never said that. It works better for me.

I don't even listen to a lot of the demos on Xscape much due to how badly they were mixed and mastered. Very badly done. Hopefully they'll have more respect for Michael's work in future and actually take time present the demos in a way which doesn't hurt my ears.

Regardless of quality, if they are complete to the extent all the music is there or there are vocals, I would like to hear these songs and would probably buy a package of them. It would be interesting to know what Michael was going through in the whole Post Trial period when he was wandering around and really in a haze for most of it. Because of this, I would not being expecting to hear the next Who is it or Bilie Jean off these tracks, but at least a few decent songs amongst them. I would not appreciate so called "Producers and DJ's" ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) mixing them up or messing them around but cutting and adding stupid shit like they did on Thriller25 and Bad25. People like Will I am (OR however you spell his name), Pitbull, Timba land or Afro Jack anywhere near those songs. These people should be had up for their crimes against good music.

She Was Loving Me was the first song in YEARS that got me 100% excited and hooked me straight away. It was the most MJ sounding song to me since BOTDF era. Then theys go and put a mono version of the song on disc 2. And Timbalands is appalling. There is so much bullshit going on in his song. I wouldn't ask him for the time of day, let alone to mix a song. Taryll and Rooneys mix was a squajillion times better.

There's really no excuse, especially for She Was Loving Me, I refuse to believe they only had a mono mix.

Even in the interview where Tinbaland commented how they managed to save Loving You even though it was warped? Didnt Brad or someone confirm that the warp was actually an effect for the song?

Yeah I seem to recall one of the guys that worked on it said it was an effect they messing around with or something. It still doesn't sound very good though lol.

Responding to my own post....
I'd say bring in the people who were originally involved, like John Barnes, Brad Buxer, and Michael Prince. Have them work on the songs and finish them. Try not, for once, to modernize the songs by having a popular producer who never worked with him produce the set.
Put together an album of 12 songs that Barnes, Buxer, Prince and others know he finished, vocals and all and felt strongly about. It can span from 1999 to 2009
