These are the big early 90s albums from the big 90s superstars.
How would you rank them from best-worst?

Best: 1. Prince - Diamonds & Pearls 2. Janet - janet 3. MJ Dangerous
I quite like George Michael’s LWPV1, although I don’t think it’s as good as Faith or Older.
Haven’t heard the Mariah or Whitney album, but I suspect I’m not missing much and that they’re just adult contemporary drivel.

Man, this is sorta trippy. I think all these artists had way better albums in the mid-to-late 90s than they did at the start of the decade. There are good songs (career highlights, even) on all of 'em, but there is also a glut of filler on all these albums.

1. MJ - Dangerous (by a landslide) 2. Janet - janet 3. George Michael - Listen Without Prejudice Vol I 4. Madonna - Erotica (great singles, mediocre album tracks) 5. Prince - D&P (one of his weakest albums, imo)
Haven't heard the rest.

This is pretty hard, but here goes
1. Erotica - I f****n love this thing, every song is a masterpiece and Madonna is complete bitch through it, which I love. She truly didn't give a shit how it wasa received but was happy many of us were open minded enough to love it.
2. Dangerous - Also Universally excellent, almost as good as Erotica but lacks that nasty edge of that album. Still songs like Who is it, Will you be there and Give in to me along with Dangerous are mind blowing stuff.
3. Diamonds and Pearls - Just, a couple of weak songs like Jughead and Push, but the rest is great, Gett Off, Cream and Insatiable are first rate Prince, Thunder, MD2N, The title cut are all great too. Plus its Prince and I have to be loyal.
4. LWP II - Generally a very good album, but a couple of songs drag and its too short, otherwise a fine piece of work. Soul Free may be his funkiest song yet, Praying for Time is beautiful and Freedom90 is hot.
5. Mariah Carey - The 4 singles are amazing, the rest is less good, still those 4 songs are very strong and her vocals wow - would be higher if she had not become a complete ho.
6. Janet - Some really good cuts here, but a few fillers, still Thats the way love goes and If are gold
7. I'll be your baby tonight - Meh!, alright but a big come down on her earlier 2 albums. I do love All the Man I need.
8. Bobby - Maudling as heck, although Good Enough and Humpin Around are amusing - Its the Joker.

I disagree, but the three cuts, some may label as filler are Gone too soon, She Drives Me Wild and Keep the Faith. These songs in my opinion are not fillers, but they are the lesser cuts on that album. On Erotica, they may label - Did you do it, Where Life Beginas and maybe Thief of Hearts as filler (I don't, I love Thief of hearts - Now sit your ass down - BITCH!) D and P definitely has Push and Jughead as filler cuts and Strollin, Walk don't walk really do not add to it much either.

Daddy Pop, Willing & Able, Push, Jughead are all filler. And Cream is one of his corniest, most overrated singles. Thunder is embarrassingly pompous and OTT. The only truly great songs and saving graces from D&P are Money Don't Matter 2nite and Gett Off. Love Symbol is so much better.

I do enjoy Daddy Pop and Willing & Able though, the latter is probably my favorite track on the album. Enjoy Strollin' (except for the synths), D&P, Money Don't Matter too. The Symbol album is definitely stronger overall though. But imo the best album of the early 90s is the one Prince cared the least about - Come.

I disagree, Diamonds and Pearls made me a fan, I doubt Love Symbol would of. That one is full of self indulgence and crap. Yet it has Damn U, Love 2 the 9s, Sexy MF and Seven which are all gems.
Cream made me a fan, so I guess thats why are so different. I like pop music and Cream is as pop as he got.
Meanwhile, no one else has actually bothered to rank the 8 albums except me, we have got carried off into side tangents over Prince.
