Anyone watch it? I read only a clip of MJ/J5 was shown but I'd be interested in seeing.

I'm not interested in supporting HBO products. Especially ones falsifying history.

Youd wonder if there actually was a case of "we cant mention the war" when it came to this, or any future productions. Not that it matters in the slightest, however. Id like to think/hope that this was a HBO call and not the director. However, the director should have chosen to abstain rather than present an inaccurate account of "history". Shame.

In Orwell's 1984 they constantly falsify and "change" history according to current interests and the current ideology.
βThe past was alterable. The past never had been altered. Oceania was at war with Eastasia. Oceania had always been at war with Eastasia.β
Or in real life:
This is how HBO behaves now.
But fuck them, to be honest. MJ doesn't need them. It only makes HBO ridiculous and embarrassing.

"Its a beautiful thing, the destruction of words". My favourite book, Repect. At least Motown had the decency to give MJ/J5 the same time as other artists in their film.
