Reading The Master and Margarita by Mihail Bulgakov and it's soooo good!
The plot is that the Devil makes a visit to 1930s Stalinist Moscow. It's a mixture of dark humor, mysticism, grotesque. There's the Devil, witches etc. Raising all kind of havoc all around Moscow. It's funny as hell. It's bizarre in a good way and very original. I've never read anything like this. A masterpiece of dark humor IMO.

Now reading Michael Jackson: The Real Story by Dieter Wiesner. What's your view of this one? I don't think you posted.

I've read manga lately, curr3d1b5b16f0fd9df02f5e8982936587ce8815e1d8r1-470-652v2_hq.jpg1rite recent anime but I hate with all my being the main antagonist, Muzan Kibutsuji looks A LOT like Michael because Muzan is a bastard. I've wanted a manga/anime character to look similar to MJ for the longest time and now that I got my wish, it's the villain. 😔

Been reading a lot of Stephen King lately. Not a fan of his newer work, but his old classics are mostly untouchable. Currently reading Pet Semetary for the third time. The last on I read was Needful Things which I absolutely loved. I have one called Desperation that I picked up for like a £1 in charity shop. Any more recommendations on Stephen King?

I’ve heard it’s an absolute masterpiece.

Misery is one of my all time favourite films. Kathy Bates was brilliant. Annie Wilkes : I thought you were good Paul... but you're not good. You're just another lying ol' dirty birdy.

I watched Dopesick on Disney Plus about America's struggle with opioid addiction and the alleged conflicts of interest involving Purdue Pharma, the FDA and the United States Department of Justice as well as the legal case against Purdue Pharma and their development, testing and marketing of the drug OxyContin. This book is the history of the Sackler family and the origins of Purdue Pharma and how the family came to be so influential in the pharmaceutical industry and how they were able to create OxyContin. Its fascinating to discover that previous generations of the family were involved in the marketing and advertising of many mainstream over the counter and prescription medication including Valium /Diazepam and that they were involved in the beginning of direct marketing of pharmacutals to doctors.

Never gets old. Some of the stuff about Russia is mentally close to the bone today.
