Interesting. So this person say this might actually get it pulled everywhere.

Wow. Has this just happened? Not sure how I feel. It's good but looks like silencing. People will probably claim it's 'silencing'. However, this 'documentary' is four hours long and has nobody defending MJ. That's silencing.

I am actually sceptical they will pull it. But even if they won't I want them to regret it very much at the end that they had anything to do with this BS.

Reed talking crap again. Jackson was accused in his life time. This whole 'people not accepting it' is BS. Many believe Jackson to be guilty. Expecting everyone to believe it, such as fans who did the sort of research he should have, is futile.

Oh and Savile had numerous victims and those people felt silenced. Jackson was around thousands of children, yet has so few accusers, with those who spent the most time around him defending him. Add to that a police force desperate for people to make claims. Breaking terms of search warrants and lying to children in interviews.
The comparison to Savile is ignorant. The two aren't comparable in any way.
Reed adds, 'I don’t think today Jackson would’ve gotten away with what he did in the 90s.'
Jackson got away with it did he? Wanting a criminal trial before a civil one, whereas the accused wanted the opposite. Big bad Michael Jackson avoiding the law by wanting the type of trial that, if he was found guilty, would see him put in prison. Criminal mastermind!
'But there is also this league of fans who are almost like a cult, and they say very nasty things [about the film] on social media. And their words echo the two-decade long rhetoric of the Jackson family and legal team, which is shaming the victims. It happens often in these cases. It’s what they do very aggressively and relentlessly, and I don’t think you can get away with that in 2019 like you could in the past.'
I'd rather be a part of a 'cult' that has done research. Read the court documents where these men lie and contradict themselves than be like the ignorant Reed.

'Dan Reed made no attempt to review the legal records from Robson’s and Safechuck’s litigations with the Estate, where the judge found that Robson had lied under oath during the litigations on key issues; and where Robson was caught red-handed hiding crucial evidence from the court, from the Jackson Estate, and even from his own lawyers. Reed even ignored the fact that these men are still pursuing claims against the Jackson Estate for hundreds of millions of dollars so they have hundreds of millions of reasons to lie.'

I have to say this has caused a much needed uplift in my mood. I still don't think they'll pull it but they'll be getting what they deserve and they will probably regret ever associating themselves with Wade and Co.

Good news.
There probably isn’t much they can do to stop other channels airing this though. The last line in that statement says “Please keep raising your voices online to let your local broadcasters know that airing these lies is a mistake”.
Inevitably there will be outrage by some that th Estate is trying to silence them, which is obviously BS.

Read the court documents where these men lie and contradict themselves than be like the ignorant Reed. Reed is unsufferable with his constant, ignorant BS. He didn't do any serious research in this case other than reading MJ(non)Facts. He is a joke.
I really think, though, that they are a bit shaken by the reaction they got. I think they expected Surviving R. Kelly type of reaction where most of everyone was supportive of the doc. Here all they have is the mainstream media, influencers and metoo on their side. Which is of course a huge force, they have all the mainstream media outlets pushing their BS, but it doesn't prove to be enough and this actually shows the power of social media and the power of the people.
Like I said before in this thread, I don't think social media is our enemy here. It is our friend as it is our only outlet. They have all of the mainstream media. We have social media to counter it and so far we have been pretty successful and I am proud of the fandom. On their side there are airheaded blue ticks and influencers who know next to nothing about MJ or this case and all they can do is keep repeating the script given to them ("compelling", "heart wrenching", "leaves no doubt", "just watch the film"). Each and every one of those accounts however then get flooded by fans posting court documents, depositions, actual evidence of Wade and James lying etc.
As I see it, mainstream media is the "elite" - paid, bought, corrupt, lazy, ignorant. Yes, just because you have a Purlitzer prize doesn't mean you know what the hell you are talking about as that New York Times journalist showed. The mainstream media is one big circle jerk these days where journalists pat each other on the back about how great they are and how fans are idiots, while it is the fans who provide all the court documents and the mainstream media's only answer to them are throwing out a bunch of emotional epithets. They are also given instructions what to write and what agenda to push to the extent where they parrot the exact same words. They are on their high horse just because they have all the platforms at their disposal that we don't have.
Social media on the other hand is the power of the people. It is not to be underrated. And we took good use of it so far, I think. And I see Reed lashing out on fans constantly because he is bothered by how effective we have been to counter their propaganda with how little means we have. So he tries to discredit us with ad hominems, which is again just lame. I don't think they expected this much resistance AT ALL.
I don't think they even expected that fans have actual knowledge in this case. I think Reed is lazy and he didn't do any significant research so he probably did not even realize that all these court docs are out there and fans know about them. They thought they would stun us and no one will be able to counter with anything but perhaps a few emotional reactions that they can put down as "crazy blind fanatics".
I really think they didn't expect this.
