Just finished watching this three part Netflix special about Canadian killer Luka Magnotta.
His character very much reminded me of things we know to be true about Wade Robson. Magnotta is a complete narcissist and his defence tried to argue that he had diminished responsibility due to being diagnosed as having borderline personality disorder with histrionic features. Throughout the three part Netflix special, you see how he craves attention, is exceptionally vain and went to extreme lengths to appear successful and important. Even his mannerisms reminded me of Wade, the deadpan expressions, the faux bleeding heart routine/craving for sympathy, the outlandish claims of provably false accusations.
Definitely worth a watch.

A few of my friends have also recommended this series to me so I'll definitely check it out at some point.

I don't agree with programmes about serial killers. The vast majority of them do what they do for the fame and notoriety, and these programmes are giving these jackasses exactly what they craved in the first place. If people didn't watch it, they wouldn't make these programmes and there would be less incentive for these fame-hungry asswipes to commit their heinous deeds.

The programme actually tackles this very issue throughout. And it's hard to argue against it.

'Don't F*** With Cats' is a brilliant documentary but it has stuck with me since seeing it. Think it's possibly one of the most disturbing true-crime docs I've seen. I have to agree with Matty on this - there are personality elements of Luka Magnotta that mirror Wade's...particularly the massive ego, the desperation for fame (no matter how he comes about it) and the almost robotic expressions/lack of empathy.
I highly recommend the show, though. It's brilliantly done... just VERY freaky.
If any of you guys watch it, please come back & tell us your opinion.

I watched it now.
He was basically an Internet troll who took it too far for the attention he wanted to get. (Internet trolls and bullies are very often narcissists and sociopaths.)
I did wonder what if he had been ignored from the get go? Difficult to tell, because had his cat videos been ignored he still might have moved on to humans to get attention.

I did wonder what if he had been ignored from the get go? Difficult to tell, because had his cat videos been ignored he still might have moved on to humans to get attention. The extreme narcissism was the first clue of an unsound mind. I think the internet can be a breeding ground to help bring out the worst in these kind of characters. He wanted fame and notoriety and this was an easy way for him to achieve it. I personally think it's a bit silly to be pointing the finger at the audience of these type of programmes or the people hunting him down on Facebook, as it's human nature to pay attention to extreme behaviour that is designed to shock us. Did it give Luka Magnotta exactly what he craved in terms of attention? Unfortunately yes, but you can't suffocate a kitten to death, broadcast it online, and expect people to turn the other cheek.

Magnotta was a copycat like Robson too but instead of associating himself with famous people, Luka did it with serial killers either real or fictional. It seems talentless people are the worst kind of fame whores and even if Netflix did a documentary about him, he will never be in the same level of other infamous killers because they didn't try to copy others.
Other thing that struck me was his mother being obliviously stupid if she truly believes her son when the world knew his excuses were full of shit.
