I'm not talking about session guys like Greg Phillinganes or Louis Johnson, amazing as they are. I'm talking about musicians/singers in their own right who guested on MJ's albums.

Hard to pick just one.
Janet really shines on Scream, I actually think it's the strongest her voice has ever sounded. She really brought her A-game knowing she was going to be singing with her brother. I often wonder why she doesn't sing more like that on her own records.
Eddie Van Halen's solo on Beat It is legendary, iconic and one of the best crossover genre collaborations in music history.
And of course, Slash is incredible on Give Into Me.

It's surprising to me that MJ didn't collaborate with more big name acts in his solo career. I mean, MJ was the biggest recording artist alive during his lifetime. Who wouldn't have wanted to have done a song with MJ in the 80s/90s? I know Whitney was originally planned to be the singer on IJCSLY, anyone know why that didn't work out?
Even on Invincible, I'm surprised there wasn't even one duet, seeing as so much onus was being placed on it being MJs big comeback and him competing with the new generation of popstars.

I'm glad about that. The state of the charts the last few years with every songs being 'Eeyore featuring Shitpot' or 'Dumbo featuring Little Johnny Cunteggs'.
It's like no-one can make a song by themselves and it's just a cynical ploy for extra streams.

Yeah, I agree. I'm just surprised he didn't at least try that ploy on Invincible seeing as how desperate the whole record came off, ya know?

Wasn't Barbra Straisand also in talks for IJCSLY?

I was being a smart ass. ๐ญ๐ If Iโm being completely honest Iโd got for Van Halen on Beat It! I do love Just Good Friends as well though so Iโm sticking with that because itโs always written off.
