I have a friend who was posting provocative pictures on Instagram, started out just as shots in her underwear etc and became increasingly more revealing. I was surprised to see it as she used to be very conservative and almost prudish about sexual stuff. She ended up going as far as doing topless stuff and she told me she gets a real buzz from it and that she finds it empowering.
I didn't have a problem with it as it's not really any of my business, but I'm a little concerned now as she told me she is thinking about doing video chat and becoming a camgirl. This has all escalated really quickly as it was only a couple of weeks ago she started putting up really quite tame pictures of herself on Insta, and she would message me asking me if she should put it online or not. She admitted to me she has found it addictive, do you think I should try and talk her out of the camgirl stuff? I'm worried she will regret it and once it's out there, it's out there forever.

To each their own I say. I'm sure your friend isn't naive to the ways of the world and the internet. If she truly wants to do that stuff, nothing you say is going to stop her.

As a Christian, my religion teaches that this stuff is wrong and not honouring your body to Christ. Of course, I'm gay, so my religion also teaches that I'm a sinner and should be stoned, so there is that.
I often wonder if the people who do it, especially the females, have some underlying self-esteem issues, probably stemming from childhood daddy issues or bad relationships. It just seems like a very extreme thing for a girl to do. Men on the other hand, I think are held to a different standard, which may be unfair, but lets face it, we're a bit more of a primitive species than the opposite gender.

If people are of age and doing it fully on their own accord then I have zero issue with it. Ideally you’d be aware of the potential consequences too. Ultimately it’s their body and I’m all for people expressing themselves in that way if they’re comfortable with it.

Anyone seen the Netflix horror film Cam? It's quite good.

Depends if that person wants a legitimate job in the future. I imagine any future employer who unearths this sort of stuff may (rightly or wrongly) think twice.
Same with future partners.

It depends what kind of job you want to get. I don't imagine it being a problem if you had a shop job or a care worker, but maybe so if you wanted a professional career.

My devoutly Catholic mother would often try and use the Bible against me to show me how being homosexual was a sin, but my take was, if it was that bad, why didn't Jesus make it one of the ten commandments? Sticking my dick up another mans ass is obviously not as bad in Jesus's eyes as coveting my neighbours goods. Jesus never said anything about gays.

Well she is married with two kids and is a kept woman, so I don't think she has any concerns about that. But I do wonder what her kids might think when they grow up and inevitably find out what she did. I'm not overly conservative myself, I just worry that she is going to get carried away. At first she was hesitant to put up a picture in her bra and panties, two weeks later she was putting up full on topless shots and is now talking about doing camwork. It's just worrying to see how fast it escalates and I worry she hasn't thought through the implications enough and is just being blinded by all the attention. But alas, it's her life and she has to make her own mistakes. It's just that she's a close friend and I care about her, but don't want to piss her off by acting all judgemental.
