Although it’s rather dated and I’m no fan of TMZ, based on this (and the lyrics in Money), no:
As the video highlights, Trump had said and done much in direct opposition to MJ’s ideals (and his message). Telling the “proud boys” to “stand by” (IE: refusing to openly condemn white supremacy) during the first presidential debate this year? Declaring people to be “fine” on “both sides” during Charlottesville? None of that, among other things, would sit well with MJ.

Would Trump even run if MJ had lived? Think of the butterflies that result from changing history.

No. Michael was for bringing people together, not creating division. The environment was also of great importance to him. Trump views every relationship as a transaction so no they weren't real friends. And aside from all that, I don't think Michael ever voted anyway.

For someone who’s never voted, he sure met a lot of presidents. Normally I’m against those who don’t vote, but given his level of fame and ability to cross barriers, I can see why he didn’t

I don't know for sure that he never voted later in his life.

Trump is everything MJ stood against so I doubt. One of his major concerns during This Is It was climate change. Trump pulled out of the Paris Agreement and doesn't acknowledge climate change as an issue. As opposed to that climate change is an important issue on Biden's agenda: www.cbsnews.com/news/green-new-deal-joe-biden-climate-change-plan/I also doubt someone who sang Earth Song would be OK with things like this: BTW, I don't think just because they knew each other we can characterize them as "friends". To me friendship is more than that. Besides in the 90s Trump was just a businessman, the Clintons and other Democrats were OK with him as well (wasn't Trump actually in the Democrat party before becoming Republican?). So you can't project people's relationship with him in the 90s as a businessman onto whether they would vote for him and everything he represents as a president. Lisa Marie Presley lived with MJ in Trump tower as well back in the 90s, but she seems anti Trump now by the comments she likes on social media. But I do appreciate in Trump that he never turned on MJ (at least in his comments about him) unlike many of those phoney liberal elitists (like Oprah etc). At least I give that to him.

Good points, he definitely would have not been ok with what goes on these days. I do also like that trump defended him, and as a judge on celebrity apprentice, but not as president

IF MJ had voted from Trump, he may as well have retired Earth Song for starters.

BTW, Randy posted a video the other day by which he seems to encourage people to vote for Trump. http://instagram.com/p/CHBXFDDDR9w And Janet answered to his post on Instagram with a "praying" emoticon which many people took as endorsement as well. Though Janet fans think it doesn't mean that. Interesting considering that Janet was always considered by her fans the "woke" Jackson. On the other hand, she always seems to support Randy in everything.

Never heard about that, I always thought when she was woke in her recent award acceptance speeches, she was talking out against trump. Would be saddened to hear if she was a supporter/sellout

old thread
i'm not into politics and Michael was not either.
from what the Jacksons family said no Michael would never voted for Trump if he was alive or believe in voting.
in my opinion i don't think so. just because Michael and Trump and his family had a brief relationship doesn't means he would voted for him.
i don't like Trump at all but what i can say he know and believe Michael was/is innocent. he never abuse Trump's sons or daughters.
